Genuine big named fighters? Well using that logic, I wonder why GGG hasn't moved down to 155.

I dunno probably because the Canelo fight was a mandatory and Dela Hoya and Canelo are teasing of this GGG fight happening at 160, maybe that's why?

Many title bouts have involved catchweights. The terms they laid out included a catchweight of 155lbs. Per your logic, GGG should have moved down.

Pers my logic doesn't take into consideration of a mandatory fight, there is no rules to say that a mandatory fight obligates a fighter to meet halfway or just a pound in the limit.
Further more why should he go to 155lbs when Oscar and Canelo said weight wouldn't be an issue that and they want to fight at 160 by the end of the year lol.

These situations aren't comparable and Ward doesn't have a leg to stand on after all he moved away from 168 making this fight dead in the water that and since his return he didn't even fight once at 168lbs lol.

Too bad fighting a weaker level of opposition to the one you supposedly originally wanted to fight won't generate anywhere near the same public attention, in fact, I'm more than confident that Brook Vs GGG will outsell Ward Vs. Kovalev that's assuming this Ward fight even happens at all.

So tell me again how generating the most attention as of late in boxing, getting top promotional/sponsor deals and having having all of the top pros talking about you does not equal to being at a "superstar" level?

you do realize how much a fight sells has nothing to do with how much talent is in the ring.

GGG vs Brook is a joke and Kov vs Ward is literally the best match up of the year.

GGG will be fighting no names, people even you have to google, or guys from lower weights until he gets in there with Canelo....its already being. played out. Get used to the mismatches until they sign to fight next year

No, the point is Ward could have waited and fought the guys at 168 the good guys of that division but instead, he moved up to 175 called out SMW's to move up to fight him and fought nobodies you claim this Kovalev fight is everything yet who has Kovalev beat by your standard his resume is weak too or perhaps it's just weak because he isn't American.
Funny isn't it, soon as the Yanks are dominating the division is in a great state but when it's not a Yank the division suck and get no attention prime example the Cruiserweight division lol
