Can imagine him being the type of fighter who looks amazing in sparring. I know prizefighter is a ****e standard but he was so much better than the guys on there, and another level skill wise, is why they give him the shot against haye.
He took a couple of losses against some very poor opposition.

He did work a lot in his mental game after covering sports psychology as part of his degree. The thing is for me, he seemed to have used it almost as an affirmation to delude himself rather than making an accurate assessment and building from there.

Have you seen his last fight? There was one guy who came to fight that night, and it wasn't Arreola.

At this point, Arreola is pretty bad.

But he's still better than Wilder's previous title defenses.

In fact, Glazkov's inability to close distance against the longer Martin might have played a part in him hyperextending his knee joint when he lunged in. Martin obviously isn't a great fighter, but he might still be a good one; between the bums he fought and the Joshua fight there really isn't much to go on. I suspect, based on the way he was handling Glazkov, that he's a level above Arreola skill wise, and would most likely beat him on points if they were to fight tomorrow.

Pianeta is pretty mediocre, but he was at least ranked when Wlad fought him, and holds a win against Duhaupas for what it's worth.

Mormeck was a hell of a cruiser, but very faded and undersized against Wlad. A huge mismatch, and potentially comparable. I'd say Arreola is even more undeserving though. Mormeck was at least coming off a couple of wins when they fought, and hadn't just been busted for drugs.

Breazeale is undeserving, but he'd just beaten Mansour in his last fight. That puts him above a disputed win turned NC against Travis Kauffman.

The only time Arreola would have been a somewhat worthy challenger would have been directly after the Seth Mitchell fight. Even then he wouldn't have been significantly better than the likes of Martin, Breazeale and co. Now he's a fat, washed up druggie on a losing streak. Hard to really find anyone less deserving.
fair enough mate, i never watched the glazkov fight just heard he won through injury

Fat, faded, no longer has a strong chin, slower, weaker. Struggled (arguably LOST) against a clubfighter recently. Tested positive for banned substance.

Why didn't Deontay Wilder find someone better, even if it meant waiting another couple of weeks until someone decent is ready?
Martin? He fought for a vacant title and won on a technicality. Nothing worse than that.

yeah looking at his record now, forgot that he lost to martin rogan and guinn. Harrison was unbeatable in prizefighter though! They should have put a prizefighter trophy by the ring for everyone of his fights lol

Yes I did, I remember his stamina was for **** in that fight but he was still in the fight and atleast trying to win... Harrison would bring his pillow and blanket to the ring...

It got him to a big payday. I think a lot of people genuinely wanted to see him get hurt. Unfortunately for the credibility of world championship boxing, Haye was more than happy to oblige.

How about being unranked and failing your last drug test?

unfortunately thats what haye does, finds overmatched opponents for easy paydays. Suppose i cant blame him if people are ****** enough to watch and pay.
