Hearn has a deal with StubHub, he sells a large percentage of the tickets direct to StubHub and ultimately the prices sky rocket.

There is a reason fans are always upset with Hearn's ticket situation.

Impossible to get tickets to Hearns shows at face value.

Great marketing ploy though innit, "sold out in 11 minutes. This is the best event ever, pkeasr buy the PPV etc etc"

Dont get me wrong this would sell well anyway. Its all over the news for good and bad reasons and the GB public love an 'event'. My casual friends wanted to go watch it live, which is the ultimate barometer fkr me judging how successful a fight will be.

Hey i want it to be true as much as you do but i don't think so. people don't buy them and in a second all those sold tickets go back for resale... apparently a lot of people are pissed with hearn on twitter (a lot of people)... this might happen for like 5-10% of the tickets but it seems like a lot more tickets are being sold on the 2nd hand market.

This is a classic situation of price cap. The demand is much higher than supply, so the ones who don't want to go, will take the tickets and sell them for much higher prices and you would do that too. Btw lots of people got their tickets in early sale as well. It is hard to please 50 thousand people when you have 20 thousand tickets. Hearn posted in Twitter, he wanted wembley but it was not available.

from what i understand its not true, a lot of people are saying that Hearn has a deal with stubhub and they get a portion of the tickets themselves and resell at a higher value... this is the more likely scenario but either way i am glad it sold out just ****ty for the real fans that now they have to pay double or triple the prices.

I did. I've watched his last 4 fights and he's far from average. Then that is just my opinion I suppose. Regardless of whether you choose to accept Smith has major credentials to make waves on the world stage is irrelevant, the Brits love a ppv showcasing an average fighter.
