If nobody wants to fight you in your own division you move up and take on the bigger guys who will have no problem agreeing to fight you not bring WW up two divisions than have the lil g brigade saying he can't fight Ward now because they two divisions away from eachother

I think that's GGG only option. Nobody wants to fight him. He has to move up or he might as well retire.

I haven't done a list in forever. I personally think Rigondeaux is the best fighter in the world. I'd put Ward slightly behind him.

Golovkin, Ward & Kovalev are all great, but Lomanchenko is #1.

There really is no clear cut P4P King. The Ward-Kovalev winner will have the best claim. Of course GGG could fight the winner and erase all doubt.

It's not about what you done lately but the sum of a man that matters. Ward is still an active fighter and has a far superior resume than GGG. People forget Ward wasn't the favorite in the Super 6. When has GGG been the underdog? At the end of the day Ward accomplishments dwarf GGG. Or put it another way if you climbed Mt. Everest or the Himalayan mountains 3 years ago and I've only climbed my local hill but have done it 10 times does that make me a better climber?

That's a nice flowery love poem but in the real world Ward has 2 wins better than Ggg comp, Froch and Kessler, 5 and 7 years ago lol. Good scalps but not exactly Toney and Hopkins. GGG has unified a division, made mexicos champion quit before he entered the ring, sold out Madison square fighting lemiuex, sold out forum (made the attendance record) fighting a NOBODY. Where as Ward fights in his hometown and no one gives a **** Azz. That's what GGG has done. To give Ward the p4p position ?That's like saying manny is StILL the best fighter because he did this and that back in 2009-2011 lol it's irrelevant. Manny pacquiao at 37 looked far better against a prime elite 147 pounder than Ward did against a nobody at 175 lol. If you think GGG hasn't done ****, he's made everyone in his division lose their pen.

GGG is the best with Kovalev and Fury and Canelo and Lomo

GGG is by far the best in Boxing as others cower in fear of fighting the commie destroyer. Andre Ward just doesn't fight enough like once every 4 years or so but Ward would school Kovalev and win on points making Kovie look slow and awkward. Canelo cannot beat GGG and will clean up the 154lb division making huge money. Boxing is about making obscene cash nothing more as titles mean nothing and belts are a joke. Cash is King of the ring period. Canelo is the cash burro of boxing now until Manny comes back. GGG is great but Canelo is Rich and the money King of Boxing. Deal with it.

Out of interest who do we reckon the top middleweights would be if there was no Gennady currently?

Then out of more interest let's assume these same middleweights battle it out over titles vacated by the recently retired undisputed, ring and lineal former king of the division, all get in a few defences, avoiding each other for a few years and then entered a little tourney to see who was best, like a super 6 for middleweights say. Included in said tourney was a little known GGG, former amateur standout, bit of a rep as a hard hitter.

Who do we think wins the tournament and would the winner struggle to tedious points wins or possibly KO everyone in their path?

Then what if the same tourney winner then takes a couple easy tickover fights, drags a relatively light punching but quite skilled SMW champ with some successful defences to their name down to their weight and wins in spectacular fashion?

Then maybe some contractual disagreements keep the guy out of the game for a while. When they come back they struggle with the weight, take some soft tune ups and then sign to fight a bit of a beast at SMW, one weight up.

It's quite interesting to think about really.
