Heck, I am making an argument for Fury being a Wlad's fan..But what's right is right though..

To give Ward the p4p position ?That's like saying manny is StILL the best fighter because he did this and that back in 2009-2011 lol it's irrelevant. Manny pacquiao at 37 looked far better against a prime elite 147 pounder than Ward did against a nobody at 175 lol. If you think GGG hasn't done ****, he's made everyone in his division lose their pen.
160 is a dead divison.
Lemieux,rosado,adama,proska,murray,macklin,rubio,w ade,monroe
Why does that resume impress you?
I rather be ward. Better resume, has earned more money in the ring and is about to fight the kingpin in his 2nd divison.

It's hard for me not to rank GGG as P4P #1, but I have watched very little of "Chocalatito." That being said, it's hard for me to put GGG at the top of list (ESPN), when he's never fought anyone close to being on the list. Ward and Rigo have slipped due to inactivity, and bad opponents, so I would probably say Canelo is P4P #1, until we have a winner of Kovalev vs. Ward. The winner of that fight will be P4P #1 until they take an "L." If Pacquiao beats Crawford, then he goes back to P4P #1 immediately!

I personally believe overall body of work and current success have to taken into consideration when discussing Top 10 P4P. Fury has current success but his overall body of work is lacking. Also he didn't dominate or beat a prime Wlad so I need see to see more from him. Beating Wlad in a more dominating fashion in the rematch will give him more credibility.

what a load of wank
GGG beat Martin Murray and Pepe Le Pew
when Golovkin fans attempt to push his resume, they mention fluffery and wank..... when Ward fans attempt to push his resume, they mention names

Originally posted by Mr. Luthor View PostInteresting points but this article is about Roach's opinions on Golovkin's and Ward's P4P statuses. Also, K2, Golovkin's team and loyal fans can't keep talking about Golovkin being the best, the new face of boxing, a superstar but then not be able or willing to offer potential opponents enough financial reward to fight him. Can't have it both ways. Top dogs like DLH, Mayweather, Pac, Canelo, Cotto, etc have/had opponents lining up because the reward made the risk acceptable. It's K2 and Team Golovkin's responsibility to make that happen now, especially when the top contenders are much younger, know they do not need Golovkin to make money and Golovkin is on the wrong side of 30.
Just one man's opinion.
and it's a damn good one, **** or get off the pot
