im sorry but this fight is a disgrace I also understand the people in GGG division that matter are making business decisions and want more money but come on man there wasn't a fight at 154 or 168 that could have been worked out?

I think if you were a smaller man fighting GGG, you would at least have to be awkward or somewhat unorthodox, or just brilliant in your defence. As highly as i rate Brook, he's none of these things. I just don't see it as a good style matchup for Brook. At least with Khan v Canelo, everyone knew Khan's speed could possibly give Canelo problems. Or if someone like Floyd moved up, we would know his defence would be a huge problem, or Manny with his speed and volume of punches when he used to move up. There's nothing Kell brings that makes me think GGG has much to worry about.

I think his style just plays into GGG's hands. Brook does have excellent timing, so depending how much power he carries up, he can maybe try to catch GGG coming in. But then even GGG isn't reckless, he is very measured and won't rush in.

Excellent timing, very accurate, his right hand is delivered with power and precision, he's not fast on his feet but he has very good footwork...

All in all, he's just an excellent fighter and clearly the best at 147. At 160 against the best guy in the division though, I'm not sure how much any of it means.

Ok thanks. I'll be looking for those things during the fight

at MW he'll be extremely weak in comparison to golovkin.

what else does he do well?
nothing tehcnically better than golovkin, though he'll probalby have an advantage in speed, at least early on.
          Yea that's how I'm feeling

The only skills Brook possesses and GGG can't compete with, are his skills at pleasing other men in bed

His jab is a ramrod. Incredibly sharp and straight, lands at a high % and he's quick to react to counter punches. He can catch-and-counter as well as any Kronk gym fighter could. He's got a solid defense, takes way less punches than GGG.

He's well planted on his feet, always in position to throw shots with his full bodyweight, but so is Golovkin. He doesn't throw punches from the odd angles GGG does, and hasn't faced anyone like that - Purely on a skill level. So it'll be interesting to see how his defense holds up to that.

It would have been good if he had faced a Marcos Maidana before hand. Him and GGG have the same tendencies to throw these odd punches which are very effective for them. The counter to that is having an excellent straight jab, which we saw Mayweather use particularly in the second fight and late in the first fight to minimize the odd style of Maidana.

I'm not sure this will work on GGG.

Brook also slips and slides well, for some reason he doesn't get credit for that on this forum. But his reactions are very good. Not quite Mayweather obviously, but I would say one of the best from his weight up.

He does have a good punch arsenal. There's pretty much no punch Brook doesn't throw extremely well. We've seen him knock people out with Jabs, right hands, left hooks and uppercuts.

He's not a great combination puncher, but neither is GGG imo. But in each of their weightclasses neither have had to be.

So overall what I think he does better than GGG:

                - Jab
                - Straight punches
                - Head movement
                - Counter punching
                - Defense

Great job. i agree 100% Green K coming

Monroe Jr just went 12 with the man Liam Smith knocked out. Kell is superior in Liam in every way( Not putting Liam down who is a good fighter and would beat Monroe aswell)

                    How pathetic and insecure....

Brook does literally everything better than Kovalev He wouldn't get hit that much by fu(king Chilemba either.

As far GGG...Catches the jab better. Does better body punching. More cautious than Kell in his attack. You would have to assume he has a better chin.

What a pathetic lie. Thurman unloaded his biggest bomb on Porter in 2's and 3's and wobbled him a few times. End of round 1, Brook clips Porter and Porter buckles, retreats and falls into his corner at the bell prompting Hearn to jump up and point at him indicating he was hurt from ringside.

Brook hurt Porter with every right hand that landed.
