I dont see any risks being taken any time soon......they unifying doe!!! well collecting belts..he only fought for one of them.

when we say the underlined part, his damage control gets upset...i dont get it...its not like its some outrageous request....its not expecting more from him than anyone else
I'm all for him unifying, but if the other champion won't fight him, then I guess that's out. Modern boxing sucks in a lot of ways, one being there are TOOMANY DAMN BELTS TO WIN WO UNIFY. The 80s and back were great. At the most you had two. Much easier to unify. We should get back to that. However, things being as they are, I say to hell with it. Go find the challenges, GGG! You are great and I believe you can beat most guys out there, but prove it against those who can challenge you. We are all tired of the mismatches. Safe fights may be a delight for the fighter, but they are a burden for the fans and ratings definitely drop. It's time for him to challenge himself against the super middles or even light heavies. However, I will say, that all of these middles should wear the "D" badge from here on out. We know who they are and whenever they speak about being a world champion, they deserve a collection of scorn from all for not fighting the real champion.

Haha. Well, hey man. I supported the Brook fight for a day or two. Then I realized I was just for the fight because it would mean a name on Golovkin's record- not a god fight for boxing. So I changed my mind and decided that I really can't complain about mismatches and support this fight at the same time. No matter how big a fan you can be of a fighter, you have to call them out when it's time as well. Otherwise, you're pretty much a mindless fan who worships every move the guy makes and that ain't me.

Ah, if they don't get it, that's fine. Like I say, there are a lot of mindless followers who never question what their favorite fighter does. No one has the Midas touch. They all screw up and GGG did here. Or at least his team did.

I've actually had the opposite effect. I was pretty shocked at the initial news but as time went on I started to accept why it happened. There's are 0 good names that would be a good fight in September so anyone he would of fought people would of still complained. His first 5/6 choices all declined and I can't think of a name or anyone who won't be at least a 10/1 underdog to fight him that be willing to fight him.

Oh I hear you there. Lots of guys are ducking and it's a disgrace. I would have liked o see him in there with Groves, though. I think that could have been made. Hopefully after this fight, we get a real live opponent in there who's big enough and good enough to give him a challenge. Getting tired of these showcase mismatches.

Yes, that's happening a lot these days. I understand bringing a guy along right and building him up. However, there is a line you cross into basically wasting a fighter's talent and prime which is what is going on. I agree.
