His fight with Rubio wasn't for anytitle. GGG won his WBA regular title vs some unknown. Then when he fought geale the WBA made that fight for the super title. That's fact. Go look it up.

When he beat Monroe in 2015 Cotto had just beaten Martinez who wanted nothing to do with fighting GGG. So when GGG fought Monroe the wbc made that fight for the interim champion so that they can force Cotto to fight GGG.

Rubio was the wbc interim champion. He got paid a step aside fee for the cotto-martinez fight to happen. Then, later that year, Rubio, who was still the interim champion at the time, lost the titles on the scales (vacated) and could not fight for the title but team ggg still wanted the fight since they were able to capture the title with a victory. The Rubio fight, that's when GGG became the WBC interim champion.

I have no idea wtf you are talking about, because the ggg-monroe fight wasn't till a whole year later after cotto beat martinez.

K2 is wasting a talented fighters prime trying to build him up in an around about type of manner

you cant avoid fighting top flight opposition or live of excuses why you cant get fights and expect to reap the same rewards as fighters who took risks, and actually fought for their world titles

I cant call a fighter "undisputed" if their is a dispute...look at the list of top 5 middleweights.....he has to beat the top 2-3 contenders to be undisputed or actually have fought for all the belts


if he gets the wbo i hope if fights for it, if not it will literally be the most Hollow undisputed championship in boxing history

Golovkin won all his titles in the ring. He won the WBC interim from Rubio and when Canelo wouldn't defend against him, GGG holding the interim belt meant that he became the WBC champ by default.

Those are the WBC rules and GGG didn't write them, he just fought by them same as anyone else.

The WBA was a nest of corruption when GGG won their newly renamed "regular" title by beating Nilson Tapia. There had been no regular and super WBA MW titles for 4 years, just one WBA world MW title, held by Felix Sturm.

GGG was mandatory challenger for that title for 2 years, and when Sturm couldn't put off fighting him any longer, his promoter paid the WBA to reintroduce the super title and award it to Sturm. They then told Golovkin that the title he was mandated to fight for had been down-graded to "regular" status and Sturm no longer held that title, so Golovkin fought for a vacant belt instead, and won it IN THE RING.

Knowing facts like those, any unbiased, fair-minded fan would aknowledge that Golovkin became the WBA MW champ by beating beat Tapia back in 2010.

And how did Golovkin become WBA super champion? Sturm eventually lost his paper title to Daniel Geale, and when Geale refused to defend it against GGG, who was his mandatory challenger, he was stripped and GGG was automatically promoted to super champ in his place.
