Canelo has nothing to be ashamed of. Hes the smaller fighter. The one fighter who will never live down ducking GGG is Andre "The Cow" Ward. Or should I say Actor?

Along with the fact that he held onto the middleweight title to fight Khan, this is exactly why Alvarez deserves so much criticism. He gave every impression of wanting the fight and then ran away from it the second he had to make it.

My understanding is they will fight in September 2017, and I can't wait till than and watch Golovkin get ko'ed cold, he has never fought a b-class oppenent and yet he thinks he is the A side refusing to fight at 155 even after he only sold 97K in a unifaction fight against another power puncher with a really good under card, Canelo has already beat the likes of Cotto, Trout, and Lara can't say the same about Golovkin. Damn i bet Kirkland would be the biggest name on Golovkin's resume if they would fight

New publicist? Last time I checked, Canelo was the A side to Golovkin.
            NAILED IT

AT least Canelo is fighting for a title vs a decent opponent his size...GGG is fighting a mismatch next

told these guys expect a mismatch when a fight was announced. Eubank was a diversion

And till unifying the belts they are focused on 160. I'm not Einstein, but I believe 160 is between 154 and 168. Are you saying it isn't?

Roach does say that Golovkin would have a strong case for being the best fighter in the sport - if he faced and defeated Andre Ward (28-0, 15KOs).

Ward has attempted, unsuccessfully, to lure Golovkin into a fight. After making a last ditch effort to secure Golovkin earlier this year, Ward announced that he was leaving the super middleweight division to pursue a world title at 175-pounds.

Golovkin had little interest in moving up to face Ward at 168-pounds. Although Ward is no longer fighting at 168, Roach says the Olympic gold medal winner is the type of opponent that Golovkin needs to beat in order to stamp his position as the top guy in boxing.

"I think Triple G could have [taken over the landscape] if he had more opponents. I just think there's no opponents in that division at this point. If he beat Andre Ward, that would be an excellent case for Triple G. That's what he's going to have to do to become the best fighter, pound for pound in this era as we stand right now..."

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach believes IBF/WBA/IBO Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs) is capable of becoming the best pound for pound fighter in the sport - if the right opponents were available for him to fight at 160-pounds. Golovkin, with the WBC interim-title around his waist as well, is the mandatory challenger to Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. That fight is potentially going to happen in the fall of 2016. Both boxers will take a voluntary fight in the first half of the year.

Abel said that..Golovkin has never as much as uttered those words. I know you guys hear one guy make the claim he said it and then run with it. Abel is not Golovkin, who himself as a boxer does not really talk much or insult other boxers. Learn to separate the trainer from the boxer himself because I have seen GGG get flack over shhhh he hasn't actually said.

duckanelo is an embarrassment to a great boxing nation, not a true warrior like morales, marquez etc. Says he needs longer to prepare at middleweight yet he decides to fight a light middleweight next, and not a good one either. duckanelo is everything thats wrong with modern day boxing
