This performance actually makes me feel confident that Ward won't back out. I know Krusher will be in full form for Ward. Us fans will have one helluva treat. May the best man win.
Coming in I thought Kovalev would win by late TKO or wide UD, but I don't think this was very dominating at all. In fact he actually looked relatively "bad" in terms of comparing his other performances with this one. It was a good fight and I thought it was closer than the scorecards suggest
This should put everything back in perspective for ignorant Ward haters. Once Kov is out of the way, we'll finally be able to talk about the REAL talent at 175 --- Ward, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk.
This fight probably was the best thing that could have happened 2 the champ fighting a durable, stand up boxer type guy 2 get him better prepared 4 Ward...
who was the dumbazz that said ward was gonna pull out and ask for another 2 tune up fights and then finnally fight next year in march?...don't be a dumb fool, the contracts are signed, the fight is going down in november, snap out of your lil world and pay attention to what's going on
Ward will pull out, he keeps mentioning that "there could be a date in November", "a tentative date has been set".
He is already setting the stage to announce a postponement after he beats this scrub he is facing next.
