I don't say that to put down Kovalev. I'd rather everyone think he was invincible so that Ward's victory will be even bigger. I don't want to hear this "he was never that great" stuff that they did with Kessler, Froch, and Dawson after he beat them. But, people aren't ******. They know that some telling things happened today. Kovalev is highly talented though and I'm sure he'll tighten up his game Andes be in better form when he fights Ward.

I'm still not sure Ward vs Kovalev happens this year....
I don't think either fighter is scared. I could see Ward wanting one more fight before they fight and fighting in Aug. and then in Nov. not really sure that happens. I do see them fighting by March for sure but we'll see.

Kovalev was looking like bum tonight, that was his worst fight by far. But I've expected that and I've said on this thread before that Chilemba going to give Kovalev a competitive fight. My prediction was accurate
This version of Kovalev don't have no chances against WardLast edited by g27region; 07-11-2016, 02:53 PM.

Winning or loosing on Ward doesn't mean he isn't great.
Ward is probably the best fighter out there today, if Kova wins, he is great, if he looses, he is still great and lose to a great boxer too in Ward.
Both guys are the best!

This was the the outcome I predicted. I thought Kovalev would win by decision but after that knock down it looked like Chilemba was hurt pretty bad and that the fight might not last much longer but my prediction and Chilemba were both saved by the bell.
Kovalev wasn't as accurate as usual and seemed a bit impatient but I have never seen Chilemba this clearly dominated. Some people here must be wearing their "Ward glasses" if they think this was a close fight.Last edited by Damn Wicked; 07-11-2016, 03:08 PM.
