Unification is what I want to see.
Problem is BJS has the belt and has seemed reluctant to face Golovkin in the past.
If the BJS vs Canelo fight comes about and Canelo wins..we get the whole 'We don't f**k around' situation again.
except that this time, with no terms hanging over him by any governing body, Alvarez could simply sit at the table, and offer a 10% share on the fight, and make that a take it/leave it offer.
How the Golovkin Defense Force spins their guy missing out again on a career defining fight, this time over money, will be hilarious to see.
If Kovalev loses...how much will be in the pot to entice Stevenson vs Ward for all the belts?
Stevenson seems pretty happy fighting scrubs and getting that ppv money in Canada.
He's really not even relevant IMO.
He's just like Jacobs. Not relevant, IMO your not relevant when you try to avoid top quality competition the way these guys are. If a fighter takes a few easy fights knowing there is a megafight ahead of them, I can kind of forgive them for that.
But there is nothing lined up for Stevenson or Jacobs. They are just blatantly avoiding real fights.

Will depend on how Ward looks in the fight.
If he comes in and looks utterly spectacular, MGM Resorts will back him and Roc Nation Sports with more than enough money for everyone to want the fight out on Montreal (you add that fight, for the unified/undisputed 175lb championship, would also be on PPV and no one would miss out on any money). There's no way that the Vegas sports book is going to not want to be in business with an American Olympic gold medalist who is also the p4p best fighter in the sport.
If he looks like crap, it'll likely be trickier, but the fight is still the biggest fight to make at 175 anyway, so it'll still likely get made.

None of that, or the "relevance" as you say, makes any sense to the context of collecting ALL THE BELTS which you stated as rare.
Is winning the WBA and WBC from non title bouts rare compared to what I said about Kovalev and Stevenson?

I'd be surprised if it got that far down the line to be honest. I don't think Canelo wants the fight at all.
I suppose we will see in 2017 at the earliest.
Isn't unifying the belts kinda pointless if one of them was just given to you on a silver ***in' platter by Canelo? You didn't even have to fight for it. Loses it's luster doesn't it?

cmon dude...
Stevenson isn't trying to collect all the belts like GGG is. He isn't trying to do anything but get easy checks, he's avoiding trying to collect all the belts if anything.
