    Honorable athlete.
Correct. GGG has not changed his tune. Been always saying he first wants to unify the division. Not his fault if no one in the division has the testicular fortitude to fight him. Eubanks, Canelo big talkers nothing more. Kudos to the others who walked the walk.

Exaggeration aside, Golovkin does what's expected when he beats overmatched opponents. He goes for the kill and the fans appreciate it. He does not run and potshot for 12 rounds to win on points. Ultimately boxers are entertainers who happen to be athletes. Their value is in how they thrill fans who watch their fights, what they give of themselves in the ring. That involves taking risks. Floyd was totally risk averse. Look at the way he closed the Berto fight. He rocked him late in the 12th and could have ended it with a stoppage. But no, he ran the last 20 seconds as if he was the guy who got hurt.

He has to move up; wait for a MW to challenge him; or hope a jMW moves up with enough balls to take it to him. The Brook thing is a K2/Matchroom concoction, primarily to line Hearn's pocket. Unfortunately Golovkin acquisiced.

...Instead we rather fight a WW who has NO belt at 160...

Why not move up and fight a credible opponent then move back down to 160 if unifying all the belts is really your goal?

To me they're just using this excuse to avoid bigger guys and actually challenging themselves.

Here's what's wrong with your theory of KOs and entertainment value. As "boring" as Floyd was, his the highest earning fighter in the history of boxing. Yeah, people paid to see him lose. But, people aren't gonna pay to see you lose to guys they know can't beat you. Floyd, without the elite resume, is Adrien Broner.

Which brings me to GGG. He had his PPV debut last year, which bombed. He won't fight a single fight this year on American PPV. He can KO all the bums he wants. But eventually, people wanna see him in the ring with opponents that we think can beat him. Not evem necessarily fighters we think can beat him. But at least fighters that have been successful at high levels of the sport. Without elite comp, he's simply a world class version of Butterbean.

He's had a career full of meaningless fights. I don't see that ever changing.

Let's be honest, when we think Gennady Golovkin, do we think career defining fights or do we think cute accent and grand claims? He got famous knocking off tomato cans while calling them good boys and claiming anybody from 154 to 175.

He's been exposed as a fraud. A man that doesn't practice what he preaches. He's a poser. Just the latest example of the embarrassment this "sport" has become.

What Floyd earned is totally irrelevant to entertainment value, except maybe his thrill/cost ratio only makes him look worse.

When Tommy Hearns congratulated Marvin Hagler after their epic fight, the victor's first words were, "we gave them a hell of a show; they got their money's worth." You can PM me if you'd like to see it. Anyway I'm not saying GGG is Hagler; but GGG most def gives back to the fans like Hagler and Hearns did.

Forget eventually. I want to see him in the best fights possible now, while he's still in his prime. I think if he shines this fall against Brook, a Degale fight back in the UK could be a possibility. Or Badou Jack in Vegas. I'm not optimistic about Canelo, Saunders, or Jacobs. The latter two should have their belts ripped away from their dresses. Without a strap, both of them would lose any leverage for big pay days and that might be enough to entice them to accept a Golovkin fight.

Fight 154 lb guys I'm okay with that but Brook is a welterweight. You have solid money making fights with guys like Bute, Degale and Groves at 168. Maybe even get them to meet you at 164. **** I'm cool with him fighting Chavez if Chavez beats Love. But Brook? GTFO

This dude is a fuucking bytch. If you want all the belts why in the fuuck are you fighting a 147 pound fighter? There are no belts for you to gain.

Scared as fuuck of Lara. Scared as fuuck of Ward. Whenever those two names come up accountants, lawyers all that come out. pussie g you are a fuucking maggot.

If you actually had nuts you would test yourself. Move up in weight you fuucking coward. If not atleast accept Lara's offer to fight your bum ass at 160.

Why in the fuuck is he fighting a WW? You can't fight Lara while you wait. Or you can move up one weight class and come back and get those belts. Fuuck pussie g. and anybody that supports him
