I guess it was too hard to refuse easy money.

K2 heard the mounting criticism of Golovkin's poor opponent selection.

So, they reacted immediately to remedy the problem !

I get Brook is popular in the UK but even with his win over Porter he is still virtually unknown in the US. Does anybody really believe Brook has a chance to beat GGG? I mean neither fighter is making what Canelo or Khan made so what's the point of this fight. I just feel there has to be another fighter closer to 160 pounds that GGG could fight that can generate the same revenue as a fight with Brook.

Like who?? Every single MW is petrified of GGG and avoids him like the plague. Canelo, Saunders, Jacobs, and now Eubank have dodged GGG.... Despite these fighters getting career high pay days fighting GGG (Canelo would make more $$ against GGG than any other fighter he faces) no fighter wants to get in the ring with him. The fact that Brook/ GGG got done in 2 days, with the same $$ that was offered to Eubank says it all. Brook stepped up. As for SMWs, most are aligned with Haymon/ PBC and Zurdo just injured his hand recently so he's out. If all the other MWs had any courage, GGG would b fighting a MW right now.

            Two things.....

            1) Khan, even after going up 8lbs, WAS a big fight
            2) the unknown Brook, going up 13lbs, is NOT a big fight

This is MUCH worse, and completely unjustifiable.

Brook =/= Khan, in terms of money.

This is NOT a business decision, it is a blatant cherry-pick.

And you're wrong as usual, learn to get your facts straight. How are these 2 situations the same?? K2 was negotiating with Hearn to fight Eubank for over the last 3 weeks. Hearn, who promotes both Brook and Eubank, said outrightly himself that the Eubanks killed the deal- That's his own promoter saying this. A GGG- Eubank is a more lucrative fight, so obviously Hearn would want to ensure to make this fight happen. And like every other MW out there - He pussied out and Brook stepped up (with the exact same amount of $$ that was offered to Eubank) and agreed to take the fight.

Canelo never negotiated with any MWs or Jr MWs, and instead negotiationed directly with Khan. If Canelo was negotiating with a MW or Jr MW, who backed out last min and was forced to accept a fight with Khan (a Jr WW) then it's a similar situation - But that was never the case-

The idiot boxing fans who post here make me shake my head. The fight is made. Enjoy it. It's not as big a deal to go up in weight as it is to drain and come down in weight.

He has already been asked about Brook.....

Sanchez said that Brook is a good opponent, and that they would consider a catchweight of around 157.

you can't make this **** up LMAO

There was always going to be at least 1 silly clown who supported this fight..... and yet let me guess, if I check your post-history regarding your opinion about the Canelo/Khan fight, what will I find?
