It's not a great fight, but Brook is not a glass jawed WW who is gonna weigh 15-20 pounds lighter than GGG.

Brooks rehydrates to 165 at WW, likely will be heavier in GGG fight. It's conceivable that there will be less than five pounds between these two fighters, maybe both at 170.

Brook is undefeated and big for a WW. He's 5'9 and GGG is 5'10 1/2.

Canelo fought Amir Khan, whose literally been KO by a 140 pounder.

Brook fought at a CW of 151 and fought a guy who is now a LHW.

Amir Khan said himself that enters the ring around 165 for WW fights, he was still significantly smaller than Canelo.

Kell Brook is a damn good fighter, but the size difference is enormous and he's not going to be able to keep Golovkin off. Really silly fight for Kell, but I appreciate taking the challenge.

He is to blame for Eubank vs Golovkin not happening. Golovkin/K2 signed their end of the deal, Eubank Sr started making crazy unrealistic demands from Hearn that couldn't happen. This of course followed Canelo & Saunders turning down Golovkin and Jacobs not being interested at the moment, so K2 eventually got to the point where they decided they'll take what they could get from Hearn. Not the move I would have made though.

You're right..... Eubank Snr had nothing whatsoever to do with Team Bull**** selecting a welterweight..... and I also agree with you that it's a **** fight, and blatant cherry-picking.

I'm a Golovkin fun from the times that 99% of this forum never heard of him (I'm russian) - his amateurs career. But this move... while I understand them from financial point of view, I can't agree with that. After saying that Canelo's fight with Khan is a disrespect to boxing... I guess it was too hard to refuse easy money.

What does a Brook fight do for GGG? If only for one fight would it not serve K2 and HBO best in its quest to market GGG as a power punching beast to go up in weight to face a popular SMW with a suspect chin instead of pulling up a WW to MW. I get Brook is popular in the UK but even with his win over Porter he is still virtually unknown in the US. Does anybody really believe Brook has a chance to beat GGG? I mean neither fighter is making what Canelo or Khan made so what's the point of this fight. I just feel there has to be another fighter closer to 160 pounds that GGG could fight that can generate the same revenue as a fight with Brook.

Every team GGG decision was forced to make up until today I understood. I knew fighters were ducking him. I know it was hard securing opponents. I also had a feeling that team Eubank were bluffing this whole time and knew they would out price themselves.

This Brook fight I cannot find an excuse for. There was no need for it and it stinks. This decision makes me roll my eyes.

This is what I have been telling everybody all along. Hearn will promote his fighter with the name of the other top fighters.

He promoted Eubank with a potential fight with triple G and ppl started looking him up.

Now he continues with Brook. It is a pattern that he will continue to do because it has been successful.
