Lol now we are comparing Brook to Duran. How pathetic do you guys get? Golovkin and his fans won the Internet for the weekend with their pure unadulterated ******ity. No need to defend crap. Call it crap and move on. You guys need to stop it. Golovkin is a 35 year old fighter with one of the worst resume's on the p4p list right now, but he manages to still get people to defend him fighting a ww who refuses to fight world ranked fighters at ww? If this guy is the future, boxing is in trouble.

I hope they grow some balls in due time!

I know the Anti GGG Agenda is in full force, but what about some food for thoughts about the situation.

GGG needed an opponent, quick, very quick. Eubank pulled out for a fight in 8 weeks.

      Looking at 160
GGG called out everyone. Every top middleweight ducked him.

      Looking at 168
Zurdo has an injury, out for 5 months.
DeGale and Jack have a unification at the end of the year.

      Looking at 154
Andrade wants to unify first and face GGG for big $$$ in 2-3 years.
Lara talks big on twitter and in interviews, never once his team contacted K2, also has no fans, also gets no $$ from HBO. Also his own promoter says fight cannot happen because of "TV problems":

Charlo bros want nothing to do with GGG.

      Looking at 147
Brook, ranked #1 at 147, undeafeated, huge at the weight, steps up and takes the deal Eubank declined, HBO already had the UK deal with K2 and Matchroom ready and needed a willing opponent for a fight in 8 weeks.

Ding Ding Ding we have a winner. Probs to Kell Brook for knocking out all the cowards with one shot and giving the GGG Antis a meltdown.

Marvin Hagler, one of the ATG MWs, his biggest fights were against the best guys from lower weights (Duran, Hearns, and Sugar Ray Leonard, who was a huge welterweight like Brook who actually defeated Marvin Hagler)

Sugar Ray Leonard just won his first Title (at 147) and then moved up to fight the most dangerous MW - Marvin Hagler.

Pretty similar to what Kell Brook is doing.

Leonard vs Hagler was a sensational fight, Leonard actually managed to defeat Hagler by SD.

That fight with Brook has the new IBF 10lb rehydration limit, so nobody will weigh more than 170 when they enter the ring. Brook is a big durable guy, will give GGG a good fight. He outclassed Porter, Porter started at 165 and is very strong.

I suggest you focus your hatred on the guys who are ducking GGG. GGG needs to fight 3 times this year and he had no other option, glad Brook stepped up.

That is not even close to true. At least check your facts before posting a complete lie like this on the internet.

It's pathetic enough to try and compare Brook to Leonard to begin with, then you go and make it worse by not even knowing what the hell you are talking about.

yeah but those guys are great because they ****** with Hagler. if Brook taxes golovkin then im sure people will see things differently. These guys also had proven track records above 147...brook does not. Duran was busting up davey moore and Leonard also met Hagler at a catch weight if anyone remembers. Hearns was just massive and Hagler did destroy him so its a moot point.

another point should be made too is that Hagler tends to get talked about the least out of the fab 4. He had a long reign of title defenses and beat a lot of good fighters but he is missing a marquee p4p win that SRL and Duran both have.

yeah your facts are way off. These guys were already established above 147. They didn't just jump from 147 to 160 and take on prime hagler. if anything SRL ducked him during his peak years. its actually very ballsy what Brook is doing but I expect him to get destroyed.

Also Shawn porter never fought at this imaginary weight class of 165. he started at 154. Brook is 5'9 and muscular but when you compare frame size there is no comparison, I doubt GGG will even feel his punches.

that being said..Brook should get some serious credit for being a man in a soft era.

That's the second time he's posted that. I tried to correct him earlier. He couldn't even take the time for a cursory glance at boxrec. Smh.

                      A few things...
                      1. Duran, Leonard and Hearns were certified legends in the sport who had already achieved and proved their worth's at their respective weights they previously campaigned in... Kell is not.
                      2. Leonard and Hearns especially... were big guys. Leonard was bigger than Brook and Hearn makes Brook look like a school child..
                      3. I personally don't rate Hagler's win over Duran very highly... he was a lot bigger than Duran and was supposed to win.
                      4. This farce of a boxing match may be the worst high profile bout ever announced in my lifetime (and yes we did just have Canelo fighting Khan). At least Khan and Canelo were relative in size (Khan weighed in at around 162 on fight night... and reasonable assessments would put Canelo between 165 and 170... hardly miles apart... plus Khan is actually taller and longer than Canelo... and it was fought at 155... basically 1 weight above Khan's normal weight... again, not justifying that bout... but it is better than this one (can you believe that?)... GGG is advertised as one of the hardest hitting MW champions of all time... and how does he show it? By fighting a guy that isn't even fully proven in a division 2 weight classes below his own? Bringing him up to the full 160 limit? Just wow... this is so bad.. I won't be watching it... and I really couldn't care about it any less... my brain is still sore from reading the announcement.
