I am not a big fan of that fight, i am just trying to be logical.

Would have preferred GGG to fight Canelo, Saunders, Jacobs or Eubank.
Just two weeks ago Tom Loeffler said the Jacobs fight would have to be PPV and they would have to sit down with the WBA to see when the timing was right and that they hadn't spoken to Jacobs people. So K2 is saying the same thing Jacobs said. The money isn't there for the fight yet. It starts at 12:11

We haven't seen exciting, attention grabbing match ups like this in a while. You look at Pac and Floyd, that was like pulling a tooth getting this fight made. With Brook, its a massive opportunity to jump above everyone 30lbs in either direction cementing himself as the true headline attraction and warrior
a age old tradition? this is how u know people don't know what the **** their talking about.

let me fill u and who ever thinks this way in on something. before u jump up to another weight class U fight 2 guys and let your body get use to the weight before facing the top guy. duran had like 3 fights at middleweight before facing hagler. ray had just fought at middleweight a fight ago before facing hagler. heans had already fought at middleweight before plus he went all the way up to cruiserweight. also not to mention the fact that these guys are all time greats. GREATS. blazing talent. brook? brook is a decent welterweight with no experience at middleweight and chinny at welterweight let alone middleweight.

i mean i have no words for u guys......just a complete lack of shame hahaha

I hope they grow some balls in due time!

I know the Anti GGG Agenda is in full force, but what about some food for thoughts about the situation.

GGG needed an opponent, quick, very quick. Eubank pulled out for a fight in 8 weeks.

        Looking at 160
GGG called out everyone. Every top middleweight ducked him.

        Looking at 168
Zurdo has an injury, out for 5 months.
DeGale and Jack have a unification at the end of the year.

        Looking at 154
Andrade wants to unify first and face GGG for big $$$ in 2-3 years.
Lara talks big on twitter and in interviews, never once his team contacted K2, also has no fans, also gets no $$ from HBO.
Charlo bros want nothing to do with GGG.

        Looking at 147
Brook, ranked #1 at 147, undeafeated, huge at the weight, steps up and takes the deal Eubank declined, HBO already had the UK deal with K2 and Matchroom ready and needed a willing opponent for a fight in 8 weeks.

Ding Ding Ding we have a winner. Probs to Kell Brook for knocking out all the cowards with one shot and giving the GGG Antis a meltdown.

Marvin Hagler, one of the ATG MWs, his biggest fights were against the best guys from lower weights (Duran, Hearns, and Sugar Ray Leonard, who was a huge welterweight like Brook who actually defeated Marvin Hagler)
It's definitely comparable. What is crazy is that the middleweights are so scared that welterweights are having to step up. However, this won't be Hagler-Duran. Golovkin will blaze through Brook. It won't even be competitive. I give Brook a lot of credit for manning up, though. He's got balls of brass!

Nobody trashed Canelo just for fighting Khan. They trashed him for fighting Khan instead of Golovkin, his mandatory challenger.

i hope nobody is hating marvin hagler . dude's a f#ckin legend, mate!

roberto duran is one of the 10 best boxers of all time.

best lightweight ever [some arguments for others, but not many,]
arguably the best win ever [ray leonard at WW,]
historically significant wins all the way to MW.

hearns is one of the 5 best welterweights ever, arguably the best 154 lber ever, and a damn good 160 lber

ray leonard was the biggest draw in boxing
arguably the best ww of all time [probably goes to robinson, but its' between those two,] has himself one of the best wins of all time, a knockout win over prime tommy hearns.

              sooo uhhh yeah

and, the jump at the time was to 175 lbs, where saad muhammad, marvin johnson, eddie mustafa muhammad / gregory, mike spinks would have probably f#cked hagler up pretty good. that was a great era at LHW, but there wasn't a ton of money iin it. ray leonard was the biggest star in boxing, and his rivalry with duran radiated through the division like a drop into a deep, deep bucket.

I remember trying to educate GGG fanatics on how a GGG-Lara fight is NOT a bad fight, they kept telling me Lara has to fight at 160 first, my answer was Hagler - Mugabi fought at 160, mugabi fought exclusively at 154 at that time. Now they want to defend 147 fighter coming up to 160? I have already seen the "Brook is a big welterweight" " He would weight more than GGG on fight night".

At the end of the day you got to feel ****** when you flip and flop just to defend your comments due to your fanatics mentality.

Jacobs says Golovkin fight can happen in 1 1/2 years from now
                      date June 27th, 2016 - 41 Comments
By Dan Ambrose: WBA World middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs (31-1, 28 KOs) says he probably won’t be facing IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (35-0, 32 KOs) for another 1 ½ years from now. In other words, Jacobs is using the same approach as Mexican star Saul “Canelo” Alvarez to wait a year and a half before he decides to fight Golovkin. Jacobs and Canelo both seem to be calling the shots with Golovkin by saying when the fight can happen and when it can’t happen. The question is will Golovkin let himself be led by the nose by Canelo and Jacobs or will he tell them to get lost when they show interest in a year and a half from now? Golovkin might be better off telling Canelo and Jacobs that if they want to fight him, then they should work their way up the rankings to become his mandatory challenger.

“Triple G is going to come at the right time,” said Jacobs to Fighthype.com. “When it does come, it’s going to be right for me on all aspects, and that’s the only reason the fight hasn’t been made. It will happen very soon. I would say in the next year and a half or something to that effect. I want to collect belts, and then go for the gusto. It’ll be worth a lot more as opposed to just doing it right now. I’ll fight anyone in the world, and I want to fight Triple G. My thing was, I wanted to get BJ Saunders or possibly Canelo, and then go for Triple G,” said Jacobs.

However you spin it, Jacobs was not available to fight in September. What is your point again?
