Because if the sequence of events is....

reduce by 10% = vargas pulls out = Brook takes Eubank's fight, then it is clear that this was a planned and well executed backstab.

It also explains why Hearn quickly ran to the media to bash Eubank, coz obviously, as he was the one doing the stabbing, it would have been much easier for him to get to the media first and spread his propaganda straight up Kathy Duva style.
He claimed he gave the Eubanks a deadline for signing and they didn't meet it so he moved on. Part of the problem is that Sr. wants to change the way promotions work to be more favourable to his son. He evidently thought he was making some leeway and that he had leverage because his son was the one willing to fight Golovkin in the U.K on a Matchroom promotion. Eddie's just pulled the rug from under him. Eubank's out in the cold and Matchroom still get their cut of a Golovkin megafight in the U.K.

Part of the issue for me is that Jr. and Hearn have no contact whatsoever. Sr. wont allow it. That's not good for negotiating a fight.

          Respect to Kell for this.

An absolutely massive ask, but if he can somehow pull it off what a win it would be.

Much respect to Kell Brook on this. When I first saw the article I thought misprint. I actually thought the Eubank deal was next to done. Stylistically this is pretty intriguing but Golovkin is naturally the bigger and stronger fighter. Anyway, props to Brook for stepping up to the boogeyman nobody wants to fight. Despite being out of left field this is an exciting matchup.

Golovkin proved he is just as bad as Canelo, at least Canelo has never came in over 155

I love this guy. Brook has true heart. Impressed at him taking this fight. He's a big ww so he can be competitive at a higher class I believe.

This is old school. Back in the old days there was no 154 lb title belt from the cartels. It was real common for the Welterweight champ to go after the Middleweight champ. Brook gets respect win or lose.
