Yha , feel the same way , hugh props for Brook daring to be great , but GGG team really arent delivering the fights they need to...... K2 really got lucky here with Hearn already getting the money to bring GGG from SKY so the switch was easy to make .... god damn Eubank why didnt he sign the contract .... no matter how big WW Kell is , he isnt a MW.... he never fought vs guys that hit that hard nor did he fight with that kind of weight on him regardless if its easier for him to make.

Agree. I can see why he'd take this fight since the rest of his options dried up, but he gets no credit if he beats Brook. Also think it's a horrible career move for him.

While all probably true. Those things are'nt going to save him here imo. I'm actually pulling for Kell in this one, but I just don't see him surviving the onslaught that is coming. Even if he fights out of his mind, he will get broke down and stopped late imo. I just don't think he has the kind of power to keep GGG honest.

Whats with these fighters scared to take a loss in their own division but its ok if you move up?
This is just as intriguing as Khanelo. Depending on odds I will go with Brook - 15-1 or better.
Brook had as much risk and way less pay moving up to 154 to fight a champ there - so I get it.
I get why GGG is taking this fight. It's purely a business move. I think he might have made more fighting Eubank but seems like they are just too demanding and precious.
This makes Canelo, BJS and Jacobs look like pussies. I give Canelo leeway but not BJS and Jacobs.
Much kudos to Khan and Brook - they have enlivened what is otherwise a mediocre boxing calendar this year.

Agreed. From a technical point of view Brook is probably the best pro fighter GGG has come up against. But in the amateurs ggg fought Andre Dirrell - who is slicker, Dirrell or Brook?
I like me an underdog so I'll be pulling a bit for Brook but Brook does get hit and so I expect him to get tagged repeatedly by Golovkin. I'm thinking that Brook's power when he comes in won't be as great as either Lemieux' or Steven's power. Probably more like Monroe's shots. So although he will repeatedly connect on Golovkin eventually Gennady will wear him down to a mid/late rounds tko.

Oh the irony. There's a chance Brook could end up ''special'' in more ways than one. He may experience considerable ''learning difficulties'' after Golovkin pounds his head in.

I'm behind Kell all the way on this one but let me get this right. Rather than make fights in their own division, which is stacked, Britain's two best 147lbers head two divisions north to engage in fights from which they may never be the same again?

And then what? If they both end up damaged fighters they put on a remnants fight against each other?

From a British boxing perspective this is ****ed up. Our fighters are selling themselves as sacrificial lambs.
