So Spence only wants to move up in weight for Canelo only. Is that cool?

Spence seems to be a very good young fighter. He knocked out Algieri, who was decent, even though he only had one win at 147, but now Spence is fighting some Italian guy called Bundu who is 5`6 and 41 years old, not ranked in the top 20.

A couple weeks ago he said he wants to move up in weight to fight Canelo, but only Canelo.

So according to this forum, i have to ask:

Why does he, even though he is not a champion yet, even talk about moving up in weight and facing Canelo?

If he wants to move up, why doesn't he want to prove himself against Andrade, J-Rock, Lara or the Charlo brothers? They are all with Haymon, these fights should be easy to make.

There are other fighters out there who said they would move up/down in weight for a big money fight, and they get highly criticized. I don't see any criticism towards Spence. Why is that?

Did Spence or anyone on his team say he beats anyone from 140-160? or is he just a prospect saying he would move up for a big money fight?

Pathetic thread. Let the guy win a world title first.

GGG was an unknown fighter in the US when he said he would move up and down in weight to fight everyone.

As soon he got a couple fights his team made it clear that they want to concentrate on unifying 160, only if a huge PPV fight came up they would fancy it in another weightclass. (Floyd, Froch)

So Spence being a prospect against GGG being unknown in the US is making a big difference?

Yup, I have to agree, but a ton of posters on this very site make it seem like everybody is ducking Spence and he is already in the P4P list.

Why does Spence talk about moving up in weight and facing Canelo at all, is the question?

Who wouldn't move up to fight Canelo. People are dying to gain or lose weight to fight Canelo. People are willing to take that risk, except you know who..mr big drama show, does mandatory, 160, run of the mill generic terms sound like a big drama show....? Hmmmm....

Totally agree, yet there are some ******s on this site who criticize other fighters for wanting to move up/down for a big money fight only.

Roman Gonzalez would move up to 154 to fight Canelo. Who wouldn't go to 154, assuming they can make it, to fight Canelo for millions of dollars?

but now Spence is fighting some Italian guy called Bundu who is 5`6 and 41 years old, not ranked in the top 20.
Also lazy "journalism" TS. We all know Spence is fighting Bundu to become the mandatory for Kell Brook as mandated by the IBF. Your implication is that Spence is fighting "another bum" more or less when we all know that is not the case & this fight, while not one anyone is looking forward to, is required for Spence to move forward towards a big title fight.

Just read your reply fully. You are suggesting that GGG ducked Canelo?

You realized that Loeffler said they are open to negotiate a weight for the Canelo fight after they handled them the belt?

Guess for usual suspects its cool for their hero Spence to move up for a money fight, but if some none black fighter does that, he is a fraud.
