  • Deontay will be crushed by this. He should have waited man. If he got depressed the first time around, he'll get very frustrated now. Pay Arreola off, McDonalds gift card will do, and get r dun.

    • The main question with Povetkin was always about the clean tests before he pissed hot...if that has an explanation then it's obvious he was gaming the system before but cant be punished for it now. The fight needed to be postponed but Wilder jumped the gun with his whole lawsuit/fight won't happen tirade.

      • Of course he's clean now he's been busted. One can't name another single athlete that wouldn't be clean after testing dirty their previous time.

Meldonium has been used for 40 something years without any known adverse affects. They linked it to some mild performance enhancing affects last year and decided to ban it. Until last year, it was perfectly legal and nobody was saying anything about it.

It's no different if they decided to ban creatine and your favorite fighter showed traces of it. He wasn't taking it for a heart condition like Sharapova, he was taking it because it's a popular supplement in the eastern bloc, just like we have whey protein and creatine.

Saying he's a cheat because he used the substance when it was legal is absolutely ridiculous. Anyone who does either hates the fighter who got 'caught' or fails to understand what actually happened.

Not comparing anything, am talking about drugs taking in general. All your post is full of inaccuracy, goal post moving and you sound my like an apologist.

Last time I checked creatine is produced naturally in the body, but Meldomium is created in a lab...does Pedvetkin have Diabetes? or heart failure? maybe....deficient in Magnesium? no....common sense as you pointed out he wanted 'mild enchancement' Bwahahahahaha!

            • Wilder is going to have to get dragged to the ring in cuffs. He's so scared.

              • How on earth did WADA suddenly come into this?

Because it was The World Ant-Doping Agency (WADA) that included meldonium on the list of banned substances on January 1, but has stated that levels of less than one microgram do not require an athlete to stop competing. VADA arranges for a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) approved laboratories to conduct the tests and an internationally-recognized anti-doping group to collect the specimens and maintain the chain of custody.

Just because the rules had not caught up with the practice doesn't mean it wasn't cheating. Based on the current rules it was cheating it's just that no one will be held accountable for doing it in the past.

The banning was more for political reasons. You have actual experts saying this isn't a PED and scratching their heads why it's been banned. You know caffeine used to be on the banned list.
