Ken Porter is holding back Shawn Porter. It's time he changes trainers.

Idk about needing to drop Kenny, but it probably wouldn't be an awful idea to bring a more notable trainer into his camps. I think Porter would do well to adapt his style a lil. He's got stamina for days, but fights in a way counterproductive to him winning fights. Although granted in spite of all that he's talented enough & can go all day long if necessary to still win fights outside of elite level guys like Kell & Keith.

I think with some new eyes on Porter he could enhance his style to be more productive vs the elites he fights. Don't do so much smothering of his own shots which is one of my pet peeves with him.

This pretty much nails it. The kid just needs someone who can teach him all the little tricks and nuances of inside fighting. He just needs to learn how to create that little bit of spacing inside to prevent him from smothering his own shots. If he did the kid would be an even bigger problem than he is now.

porter simply aint a good boxer

i really don't get all this porter praise

he smother all of his own work, all he does is rush forwards

i only watch his fights when he is up against a notble name, other than that i would never watch his fights

the way he fights is just too messy and inaccurate

His style resembles Bradley's. He could hire Diaz and adopt some of Bradley's strong qualities.
