bradley or thurman could be good fights for cotto and i think he wins both fights... those 2 could fight at 150 no problem...
marquez is NOT as small as some of you think. 149 is fair for both!

not only he is a small welter, but he is old and gets injury after injury, lets not even talk about how long he is been inactive because of the injuries... he needs to retire , get a farewell winnable fight and let it go... marquez compared to cotto is small and in top of that cotto is really strong and has pop...
if cotto showed more power than murray vs maravilla and then procceed to destroy ggg's biggest win(geale) to that date, then i dont see how marquez and his shaky chin can deal with him... i think cotto has enough pop to ko any jmw right now, but he could also get outboxed...

man the way you're talking about cotto makes him seem like he's this beast of a monster. cotto is actually small for his division too. both of them are old, cotto not so much in age but the damage he has taken over the years. 149 is fair if marquez really wants it. how is marquez gonna demand 147 plus a rehydration clause? thats laughable!!! if its at 147, cotto should be allow to come in at whatever weight he feels comfortable at.

cotto is not a monster, he was outpointed by canelo and like i said can be outboxed by other jmws, but he has enough pop to ko anyone at 154 if he lands the right punch, marquez is a weak fighter at this point in his career, 147 will be unfair for cotto i agree, and i also think 149 vs someone like cotto will be too much for marquez imo... maybe other welters in their prime or better shape than marquez...

That's kind of what I was thinking. The diva Cotto will surely want this to be PPV, & Oldquez would be crazy to get in the ring if it weren't PPV. However, we would be crazier to pay for this shit.

I thought 150 was already risking being drained on part of Cotto. 149 is crazy, and I'd be careful. Marquez is probably just bluffing in an attempt to drain Cotto. He may be the best option around, but that's not worth ending up in the same situation as when he came in weak versus Pacquiao.

One of the very few...and I mean few times I have ever agreed with you.

Those 2 statements are correct and I agree even know Ill love to see Cotto vs Marquez.

Bradley or Thurman and Garcia will be great fights at 150.

149 is low for Cotto, and a hydration clause is a joke.

                No fight.

Cotto is too big, strong, younger and healthier then Marquez. Just a terrible style matchup for him at this stage. He better fight for every dollar and pound he can get in negotiations because this will be like Cotto/Martinez. I don't care what PED's Marquez is on his body is falling apart and he will get drilled.

Marquez ain't fought in OVER 2 years. He's 42 years old right now but will be 43 by the time IF they fight. Last time we saw him a bum Alvardo put him on his butt. The fight before that Bradley out worked and outboxed him. He doesn't have a relevant win since Dec 2012 when he KOd Manny. That's going on 4 years ago and he's had a million injuries. Marquez is not the same fighter he once was.
