It's funny I predicted to a friend of mine this fight will do great numbers because an indicator I use to know if a fight will be popular or not is the type of casual fans that text me about the fight. I knew when 3 casuals told me about this fight, which only hit me up for Floyd fights, Pac fights, or those big PPV's like Cotto, Canelo. So I knew this would be a hit especially on over the air feed lol

Can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. If not..

Golovkin/Lemieux was on at the same time as Mets/Cubs playoffs and "no excuses", but men's gymnastics are completely overshadowing the PBC card somehow.

You lost me. As far as I'm aware, everything I've stated is 100% factually correct. I'm not even a PBC hater.

Great fight, and great news! This should not have to stop! We have LSC vs. Frampton coming soon, and Charlo vs. J-Rock should come this year too! DSG vs. Broner should be a no-brainer, and that should be paired with Lara vs. Andrade, which would give us antoher great night of boxing! Let's get Gary Russell Jr. and Lee Selby too! PBC looks good on CBS!

Canelo is a superstar, you are comparing a major Mexican star fighter to two American fighters who are now just gaining fan recognition. Canelo is more popular than any current active 140 and below, WW, JMW and MW and beyond. He is the most popular active pro boxer on the planet. The least he can do is 5 million views on a channel available in antenna in a population of 350 million or so

If 5 million people tune in to watch Canelo on 'free tv', imagine how many would watch Floyd on 'free tv'. But that is not really a fair comparison is it? Floyd did over 2 million PPV buys three times in his career

                    Of course not

You are just a cynical PBC 'disliker'

Canelo averaged 2.146mil viewers last March on HBO while only available in 25% of the homes that Porter-Thurman was. It's not a terrible number for Thurman but certainly not great. Very disappointing. I expectd 4mil. This fight was highly anticipated which Canelo Kirkland wasn't.

At least the action in the ring delivered so that it didn't turn off any new potential fans.
