very true post, grayfist. ive been harping bout this for a long time that ronnie nathanielsz is really a bum who hype a lot of things, from the very glorious memories of philippine boxing, but unfortunately, also to the worst times..i mean that article hasnt got anything good to produce, its been happening for the past 10-15 years its not new.

the influx of many good filipino boxers to the US, the latest of which is Bobby Pacquiao signing with Bob Arum, has signaled the next wave of reviving the old philippine boxing glory. unfortunately, this is also the same dream being chased by these boxers and some scrupulous promoters would send them to these countries for quick money for reason of trying their luck or just plain meat for hungry dogs. there is no much difference in the migration of many nurses and doctors to the US and european countries.

another unfortunate thing this article (and similar aricles) would cause is that it gives avenues for people like xcaret and alliberg (among others) opportunity to diss filipino boxers which are the least of anything logical or intelligent. boom boom bautista could very well fight a cat and they'll root for the cat. they just want to get to the nerves of filipinos. in tagalog we call it "pang-asar". to these dudes, if you got nothin good to say better keep it to yourself. really. we dont want any arguments, racist comments etc going on coz i doesnt do any of us good. and filipino fight fans are already here to stay, no matter what, as long there is one filipino wearing a glove.

I usually have to weigh in here, but the truth of the matter is more pinoy users pm me to ban Manny_P than Mexicans users. Before Manny_P's arrival here, there was some rivalry, but nothing on the levels that it is now - and members on both sides, Mexican and Pinoy, lay most of the blame with him. Some gave him the benefit of the doubt and said Asian and Fly were leading him and getting him into trouble, but it seems to be an ongoing thing whether they are here or he is on his own.
