If Canelo is dropping belts to avoid legit fights and not being 1000% crucified for it, guys should be able to drop belts to avoid completely bs fights & be celebrated for it. I'd love to see that sorta trend start going down. F#ck alphabet belt bs.
It's ok to take on a softer touch aftet that taxing fight yesterday.

Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia both are counter punchers/punchers that fight would be explosive.Thurman has faster hands quicker feet better power I have him winning by decision

I disagree, kahn was handling him rather easy before the big shot he landed with his eyes closed. Judah pushed garcia to the limit, and we all know of that gift decision he got against Herrera. Thurman is well above those fighters.

I love this fight, it wouldn't be fought at Thurman vs Porter's pace, but we would still get plenty of action. Thurman would outbox and outowork Danny, Danny's only route to victory would be by KO and that's not very likely

What Canelo did was horrible for the sport and lost a lot of fans in the process and which could start a bad trend. Thurman going the same route on a different path would be just as bad for the sport. people need to get off this Mayweather high horse, that every fight should bring in 50 mil. Mandatory are spots earned by fighters working to climb the latter just as Thurman or Floyd was at one time. The guy earned his shot to fight Thurman, what happens to the sport if its all pick and choose. Look how it has affected it already.

Yea I'm not saying I'd fault Thurman for taking that fight only that I think there are much better & relevant fights for his career narrative that aren't unsoft touches & that would be better choices than this next bs mandatory guy.

And more importantly I'd like to see fighters start to take more command of their own careers vs going with the status quo alphabet group bs that makes zero sense outside of keeping a belt.

I see. I think they can do both. Make great fights and unify.

Danny boy would rather fight Broner. He'll make that fight ASAP, mark my word.
