Manny Pacquiao should have retired at the end of 2011.

The debate who would have won between himself and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. left open for eternity.

    A record of 54-3-2 (38 KO).

From this point on Pacquiao lost his young Tyson-like aura and began to tarnish his legacy. It must be very hard to live with for his fans that he was vanquished by Mayweather after such a long-standing debate.

It is interesting to note that this was also the point that "strength and conditioning" coach Alex Ariza left his team. Would things have been different if he'd stayed?

Either way he should have retired here.
His boxing legacy would not include his loss to Marquez or his loss to Mayweather if he did retire in 2011. But who cares he's a fighter and wanted those fights. You got to respect that.

Plus his bank account is thanking him for not retiring, as its 150mill+ heavier.

Won't matter in the long run. Pacquiao will be president of his country in the next decade and that will be his ultimate legacy.

He took on the feared Algieri after waking from that JMM coma.

How many KO's does Bradley have? A real threat to KO PAC again.

Floyd made easy work of PAC.

Who else did Marquez beat other than Pac that was so great?

          "Non genetically gifted boxing nations"

No country other than mexico really gives a fck about boxing, and when they did it was the heavyweights/middleweights. And few of them are mexican.

he still had something left in the tank, and plenty of money. manny may or may not have been close to broke prior to the mayweather fight. i nkow that's hard to understand for some. me too. but these guys literally go broke.

he'd slipped, but he wasn't shot by any means in 2011.

Boxing ain't big anywhere but latin America boyo. It's a niche sport everywhere else.

Stop trying to make the sport bigger than it is just because it has a lot of Mexicans.

Floyd didn't clown Pac either, only idiots with an agenda think that.

Ah, a Pinoy pretending to be a Brit. Got it!

It is big in the U.S.

                    I'm not Pinoy, I'm a white Brit.

Even if we pretend that the Pacquaio-Bradley fight was for the Lineage if you look into he only won it because the guy who he just lost to retired and made it vacant. Which is pretty pathetic, frankly.
