  • If this is a non story like some of you claim, why hasnt anyone just come out and point blank said, "there is no story. We are not being investigated/not investigating. This was all made up. Im suing you"

    ??

This could be debunked beyond any reasonable doubt with one press release if this was a completely made up story.

The BBBoC banned Thompson from fighting in the UK for 18 months, but couldn't stop him from fighting anywhere else because he is licensed outside the UK.

The delay was in ANNOUNCING the failed test, NOT acting on it.

By the time Price found out that Thompson had tested positive, in July 2015, the 18 month ban had already been served and expired.

The way UKAD and the BBBoC handle failed tests on UK licenced boxers is to suspend their licence immediately. They can bring lawers in and appeal against the ban - like Dillian Whyte and Kid Galahad - but they stay banned while the appeal is been considered.
      Errrmmmmm......

K Anti-Doping (UKAD) said in a statement that the delay in Thompson's failed drugs test being revealed was a consequence of the American's response to the charge.

So if Fury follows the same path in responsing to the test, it will take quite a while before we know anything official.

Besides. If there wasn't anything to the story why has the BBBoC not just come forward and say so?

My god these british bias butthurt boxingfans.

Read what is says right there: "(UKAD) said in a statement that the delay in Thompson's failed drugs test being revealed was a consequence of the American's response to the charge."

The key word is revealed. By the time the failed test was revealed, in July last year, Thompson had already completed his 18 month ban. Do the math.

The BBBoC have said nothing about the story, and they haven't suspended Tyson and Hughie's licences either.

And I'm not being biased at all about this, just going by the facts as we know them now. If Tyson and Hughie have tested positive for nandralone, in suffficient quantity for there to be no doubt they took it deliberately, they will get no support from me.

Well for example, looking at UKAD's page they also have to communicate with WADA in cases, results management can take time and is a meticulous process,

Before publicizing stuff, they need to have loose ends tied I suppose.

It seems that if the substance flagged is one which is naturally produced in the body, the procedure will take longer, and nandralone is naturally produced in the body.

But 15 months is a heck of a long time. And I'm taking account of Team Fury's response to this story. They are saying they are "baffled" by it, and that "no allegations have been made" against Tyson and Hughie.

That's different from saying, eg, the allegations are false and will be disproved. If something was in the pipeline, they would surely know about it by now, and would have made a different response when the story came out.

Iirc Fury denied the allegations against him (that he was a drugs cheat), he didnt deny that that there were allegations made in the first place.

So maybe the BBBoC hasnt revealed anything aboutbthe Fury's either? Just like in Thompson's case? Is that possible?

That's all speculation on your part; we know what we know, which isn't much other than something allegedly came up. The Mirror is accountable for this story so far, but the Team Fury response has been weak and it fuels speculation that something dirty went on.

That's correct. I just checked the statement again. It was from Mick Hennessy, not Fury himself, btw.
