golovkin's not goign to move to 168. same money, tougher fights, no chance of getting canelo. alvarez - golovkin is the biggest fight in boxing right now. they are not going to move to 168 and leave it behind. i know youguys don't understand this stuff, as you're not signing for a check for a million dollars in the locker room after you fight
, but they box for money. they're not goign to move to 168 lbs and leave the canelo fight. golovkin's fights are actually being promoted right now by all of the golovkin - alvarez chatter. that goes away if yo move to 168, too. you might even start to earn less money on HBO, and you stand no chance on getting on PPV in america against groves, jack, zurdo, etc.

no smart businessman would do that. in a year he'd be getting demands, from people who just want to see him lose, to fight kovalev, ward, or beterbiev.
I understand what you're saying but I don't think the Canelo fight will happen anytime soon, if ever. If no Canelo fight, what's left for GGG at MW? The idea of fighting Saunders and Jacobs also seems unlikely.

GGG doesn't have to move up but the idea was started by his own camp so I don't think it's that far fetched. In terms of pay, GGG is HBO's golden child so he'll be compensated for whatever he does over there.

Add about 120 to that and you might be warm.

          I get it now.

Pointing out Golovkin's resume is straight garbage when compared to much younger guys or even less heralded ones means you are mentally deficient in fanboyese.

Lets try a few others, shall we.

How about Lomachenko, lil g HAS to have a better resume than a guy with less than 10 pro fights, right?

          Er...wrong.

Salido, Russell, Martinez all on a completely different level than pretty much any Golovkin opponent.

Let's try a never quite made it guy like Berto...

          Nope.

Wins over Forbes, Urango, Quintano, Lopez, Zavack, Ortiz...wars with Guerrero, Ortiz, sot Karass. Respectable loss to the self proclaimed TBE...

          Not even close.

OK, how about a guy no one thinks is elite maybe a career disappointment guy like Chris Arreola.

Surely Golovkin has taken on better competition than that loser, right?

          Guess again.

Klitschko (the best one), Stiverne twice, Adamek, McCline, and queued up for Wilder. No, Chris hasn't done well against these guys but at least he hasn't made excuses about why he cant fight them.

Call me a lil g hater all you like.

But really, I am just a guy who actually wants to see him realize the greatness he seems quite capable of attaining.

And a guy tired of hearing how everyone is avoiding him when there is a line of fighters that cant wait to get some.

Wade and Monroe are no where near Eubanks level. GGG gets full credit if he beats Eubank, I don't want to hear no excuses for this fight.

              Agree with this.

Along with Murray, Eubank would be one of the only near elite guys GGG has been in with.

Most definitely. GGG is 34, no more excuses and no more running.

It always boggles my mind how people blame Golovkin for being ducked. The sad truth is that Eubank seems to be the best middleweight willing to fight him. If he could fight Jacobs or Alvarez or Saunders, he would, but none of them want to fight Golovkin.

Apparently he should be blamed for this, I guess.

Green k sent. It's ridiculous. GGG tries to make the best matches but can't. Blame the duckers, not GGG.

Thurman has Collazo, Guerrero, Soto Karass, Chavez, Quintana, and Zavak as well as others.

Where are the names on Golovkin's resume that equal this?
That's why you get called an idiot, this time at least
