Actually, over 90% of this forum alone believed Povetkin was a drug cheat on the basis of VADA. They are the ones who found his test to be adverse due to the presence of meldonium in his urine sample.Over 90 percent of this forum alone believed Povetkin was a drug cheat on the basis of Wilder and his camps comments, they deserve this.
It's a shame it has had to come to this as clearly it is going to effect Wilder and his young family, I thought his was an inspiring rags to riches tale.Comment

Wilder didn't postpone the fight...the WBC did.I still havent heard an explanation as to how Povetkin can test clean at first and dirty later on while still really being clean. Im not sure Ive ever heard of PEDs popping back up into your system by themselves.
Until that is properly explained, Ill consider Povetkin dirty af.
If I was Wilder I would postpone the fight too. No way Im willingly fighting dirty fighters if Im clean.Comment

As well as Wilder and his team. What unduly slandering an opposite party fails to establish is the truth of the story, Povetkin did test positive unfortunately for Wilder and his team is the positive test fails to register as a test fail due to the amounts being lower than trace amount.
Lol. Wilder and his team have brought this on themselves and will be deserving of everything they get in the court case, which will undoubtedly be a substantial financial penalty.Comment

I noticed that too.
He'll never find a sucker as sweet as Pacman.
Pac didn't get a dime from the Cotto fight per VisionQuest.
They also informed Pac that Arum kept all Pac's document, receipts ect a SHOE BOX.
Did Pac do anything about it?
Nope
He fired VQ on Arum's demand and was sued for not paying themComment

Just like you I'm no legal expert. I'm looking at this from the perspective of the average Joe. Regardless of what team wilder or team Povetkin says the WBC made the decision to call off the fight, inform the media why they called off the fight, and are allowing wilder a voluntary defense while they sort things out. And based on the wbc's ruling will determine if the fight will be rescheduled. So IMO everything is on the WBC and wilder must act accordingly should the WBC'S ruling be in Povetkins favor. to me WOB issue is with the WBC not team wilder and whatever might have been said post calling the fight off.None but isn't that the point exactly? Again, going by all the articles it seems they arent considering this a "failed" test at all after further investigation as it turns out it was actually fine.
But from what we've all read isn't the problem that they CANCELLED when it was supposed to be postponed. I think that's what is being said here. That it seems like Team Wilder and company cancelled and apparently went on to say that he's on PEDs and now they're basically saying "Well actually... Upon further review/investigation it actually shows for months and at the level he would have been able to compete anyway which means it was a non-issue all along."
Again, I'm no expert on this at all but it just seems kind of like a no brainer.
Also, I forgot which poster said it but how is this not detrimental to Povetkin? His reputation took a big hit and it caused him loss of wages. If you could explain it to me that'd be great as opposed to just telling me I'm wrong.
If the WBC rules against povetkin he loses his #1 ranking and shot at wilder. If its in his favor wilder must fight him next or vacate/ be stripped.Comment
