  • LMAO, forcing some 168 pounder, who is not even ranked in the top 10, to move up and face him at 175 in his own backyard. CLASSIC!!!!!!

Ward living up to my expectations as per usual.

    • Strictly a stay busy fight.

      He's fighting Kov next.

      Calm your *******.

I am not criticising HIM - he's living the dream and earning the fruits of previous labour. I am crticising that deal he signed.

For me, and most probably most people you want to work (and boxing is his job) within your level of competancy. In fact, you want to be comfortably within your level of competancy. Ideally, you want to be paid well and find your job easy. That is the ultimate.

In my own profession - admittedly - I chose it. I am absolutely at the limit of competancy.

Do you reckon this Brand fellow is keeping him up at night? Relatively speaking, I think it virtually is money for nothing. He beats Brand easily.

I am straight up jealous of Andre Ward!

It is fine because Kovalev is upcoming and that is the best fight in boxing. From a fan's perspective that makes it just about o.k.
I was only joking... And I don't believe he fights Kovalev this year (if ever)...

        • Ward's recent purses:
          Rodriguez: $1.9M + $100K weight penalty = $2.0M
          Smith: $2M + $60K weight penalty = $2.06M
          Barrera: $1.85M
          Brand: ? (presumably $2M)

Almost $8M in 4 fights vs. Rodriguez, Smith, Barrera, and Brand. I really do wonder how much HBO is guaranteeing him for the Kovalev fight. $4-5M? More?

And did you think for a moment that he would contradict you expectations?

              I think he will.

He seems quite egotistical to me. He'll want to prove himself as being more than Ireland's P4P #1
