If Kovalev wasnt guaranteed to be next i'd **** all over this damn fight. Not sure how fighting a 39 year old super middleweight will help prepare him for Kovalev tho

            Purely to stay busy.

I get it but I don't like it mainly because i worry of a cut or injury that could potentially delay the big fight. I don't think it's necessary, sparring partners probably will prepare him better than this.

              LOOOOOL Alexander who?

Ward has, in the last 4 years fought some latino no name SMW, an English journeyman who wasn't even a light heavy, some no experience Cuban and now this? The **** is going on.

I thin I preferred the Son of **** fighting drained light heavies to this mess.

It sucks that it's Brand, but I'm glad he's getting another fight in.

I think Brand is 2 levels below Barrera. Awkward, slow reflexes, not alot of power. Actually he smaller than Barrera too. Funny Ward says he wants to shake the rust off from his long layoff, but each of his tuneup fights are spaced about 6 months apart.

at leats he'll be sharper for november...no excuses for both was my concern...didnt want either guy on the shelf for almost 8-10 months

both sides of fans would be making excuses if their guy loses

And that third fight is Kovalev, so yeah, don't care so long as he gets through it healthy.
