Have you ever tried to wrap your mind around the thougt that guys aren't out there trying to unify belts because it doesn't really matter anymore. You don't really have to beat anybody good to do it.

I agree that moving up belt-grabbing isn't a great feat either. That's why I say move up and chase names, not belts. If legacy is what GGG is all about, the Ward-Kovalev winner has to be his target. I mean, he is worth $25M according to you. So he's got money. Let's do spme legacy **** now. Agreed???

Dawson was weight drained and never that good anyway. Murray beat AA at SMW but didn't get the decision, and look what GGG did to Murray.

Ward beat Kessler with the most blatent, unpunished head butts you will ever see in a top class boxing match. That fight was an absolute disgrace.

The only really good win Ward ever had was against Froch, and Golovkin was ready to fight Froch in the UK, which is something Ward refused to do.

By your logic, the winner of Kovalev/Ward (which will be Kovalev, if it ever happens) should be targetting cruiserweight champions, not a hype job 15lbs lighter than him.

Li'l g has never beaten anybody, so what would beating him do for Kovalev or Ward's legacy?

In the past 3 years Ward has fought Paul Smith, who was coming off two successive defeats, and Sulivan Barerra, a 17 fight novice. If and when he ever does anything to justify the hype he gets at this place, THEN I will praise him, not before.
