If nothing comes of this in a month, then by all means, say what you will about Eubank. Until then, why can't we just see how it unfolds? Why do the hardcores act like apes throwing shyt?
i respect your posts more and more each day.

    Thank You.

I too think we should wait and see what unfolds. I Think Golovkin is a very good fighter and i want to see him fight the best before he gets older.

Were he a major title holder and a huge UK draw, maybe, but Golovkin is the man at MW and you can't expect him to take his belts to the UK for a guy who isn't offering much more than a name (and not a big name)
Golovkin probably makes more money if the fight is held in the UK.

Sure would be nice if the WBA stepped in and did what they said they would do if the Canelo-GGG doesn't happen, which it isn't.
They wanted too, but I heard Jacobs begged for another fight, then they pushed it back. They trying to milk the regular title before becoming a good boy.

That's ridiculous. Eubanks has bested zero top ten MW, but this is supposed to be GGG best opponent. I'm shocked some people even call themselves boxing fans. They obviously haven't been paying attention.

If he's insistent on it being in the UK, I doubt it happens.
We're dismissive of him because we know he's not serious, and that the haters won't give GGG any credit.

The same ****ers who claim Suanders is a bum will claim now claim Eubanks is the best GGG has fought. GGG fighting the guy who beat Eubanks is a waste, but we are supposed to believe the haters will give GGG credit for beating a guy with no wins above domestic level. Pfffft!

You're right- Motorcity Cobra pointed it out earlier in the thread. I thought Eubanks Jr. had a better resume. Murray clearly has a superior resume.

Thx, I like GG and also want to see him fight higher level guys because I think he can beat Degale, Lara, etc. I just get into it with these guys who want to attack me for not having utter allegiance.

Maybe, but HBO is pinching pennies and I don't think the're eager to have Golovkin's biggest fight be held in the UK and either play mid-day or on tape-delay. With the way they're running stuff now I wouldn't be surprised if they made this a PPV.

Well, I've followed Eubank since his first pro outing and I'd give Golovkin credit for beating him. Though Chris' resume is mediocre, I he beats anyone GG has fought and I'd consider it his best fight to date. Those who call Sanders a bum don't know shyt or just watched his Lee fight. Sanders/Eubank was very competitive, a fantastic fight actually, and showed a lot of grit form both.

GGG/CE would make me happy. It's not going to change Golovkin's rep overnight, but without Canelo, Sanders, or Lara happening, it's the best fight he can book this Sept at 160. I'm reasonable enough not to criticize a guy for taking the best fight available. Especially at a time when we have some of the best in the world (Kovalev, Ward, Wilder, Loma, Rigo, Garcia, etc) fighting guys who are well below their level.

I used to like Eubank Jr, he is fast, athletic, with good head movement and combinations, but he gets hit a lot when focuses on attack, with bad footwork, and doesn't have the pop, i don't know why, but he lacks power even tough he is and strong athlete with fast punches.

Good on Eubank if he takes the fight. But let's not act like a guy coming off O'sullivan, Blackwell, and Doran has fought the level of competition that Murray has.
Yes, no argument that Murray has fought better competition (Martinez, GGG, Abraham, now Groves). But is he better than Eubank Jr? Now? I don't think so.

Murray is solid but unspectacular. I've been more impressed by Eubank in recent fights. Younger, fresher, quicker, busier. Hits harder too, in my view. Yes, he swerved the Jacobs fight to compete for the British title, but he's only 26 and now targeting the number 1 fighter in the division, a far superior force than Jacobs. So I tend to see the decision to go the British route was to get that coveted British belt, build his name, get more experience, before launching an assault on the world scene.

What makes you think he lacks power? KO ratio is pretty good. Bulldozed O'Sullivan, who is very tough. Spike stayed on his feet but the punches he shipped were clearly hurtful and left him dazed. Blackwell stayed on his feet too, but took an ungodly beating and was wobbled/hurt repeatedly. If you stand in front of Eubank, you will likely get hurt.

**** this "he's only 26" bs I have to read here. If you're not ready for it when you're 25 years old then wtf happened to the sport.
