1. cant use that excuse bc donaire got several fans in that same weight class and many mexican fighters prior have as well
2. never heard that but the boxing world was so unjust that they ddint even give him the chance to
3. lomo rehydrated 10 lbs from 126...rigo's highewt rehydration is to 128 i believe and he's already like 35..smaller fighters moving up at 35?? u show me where that is at..and styles dont make star or floyd would have never became one..roy would have never became one..klit would be on in germany..i can go on and on...
he'll have a better pro career than a lot of ppl if he keeps getting to fight the martinez of the world..hell gary russell is the man's best win, and gary hasnt done anything of note except over sleep when he probably was going to lose in the Olympics anyways
man nonito at 126 hurt walters several times before walters dropped him in the 3rd..nonite would smash russell..russells feet are stuck in the mud and he throws pat shots...nonito has better timing, damn good speed, and tons more power..hell the version of arce walters fought would give gary russell problems maybe....russell would have hell with both sosa and marriaga as well..that is why he didnt fight any of those type of opponents on his way up..
Then Rigo shouldn't complain. Smaller fighters have to take more risks. Rigo didn't even want to fight at 126. If he's as small as everyone is saying then why didn't he try to fight at 115 or 118? He should go to 118 and wait for Chocolatito or Inoue. He's not even willing to do that, even though people are always saying he's super small. Rigo is a small guy, but why not go down in weight then?
Also, Rigo's fans and his team, not me, were the ones saying Rigo can beat anyone at 135 and below. I'm just saying that people try to keep other fighters to what their teams have said in the past, but Rigo gets a pass in that regard.
You're making me sound like a Rigo hater when I'm not. Rigo is one of my favorite fighters of all time.
Russell was definitely not getting the Gold in Beijing. Not with the likes of Vodopyanov, the Russian who outclassed him at Worlds, and Enkhbat Badar-Uugan, the eventual Gold medalist and amazing boxer, participating at those games. The Bantamweight division was an extremely tough weight class in 08, so his chances of getting Gold were low, but he would of had a very good chance to medal though. Russell was a good amateur, by American standards, don't try to take that away from him. A lot of fighters get a lot of undeserved hype at 17/18 years old. Russell was actually doing something to deserve his hype.
Rigondeaux would of had a much tougher time getting the gold in 2008 than he did the previous two times (00 and 04).
Arce never fought Walters. Russell destroyed Hyland something your favorite fighter, Fortuna, wasn't able to do.
Enough talking. I wouldn't mind finding out instead of talking. And there is only one way to find out. Having them actually fight. I would love to see Russell vs Walters in the future. Walters is an underrated boxer and he seems to be improving, but he can't do what Loma does. Russell will have an easier time finding Walters. Russell only landed 10% on Loma, I suspect that he will land much more against Walters, who doesn't have bad defense by any means. I'm not saying that Russell will beat Walters, but he will give him a ton of problems and possibly pull it off. Lomachenko made Russell look like his feet were stuck in mud. I don't think Walters nor Donaire would be able to do that.
I think Donaire is done, so Russell-Donaire wouldn't prove anything at this point, but if you still want to see that fight as well, then why not? I would love to have seen Donaire-Russell at Featherweight. I think Russell would have defeated Donaire pretty handily at Featherweight.
Russell is a Champion with a very good chance of unifying, while Marriaga and Sosa would be lucky to get a title. That's all I will say about that.
Of course I also want to see Loma-Walters. Walters should try to get a title at 130, so the fight could be a unification fight.
He's ranked #1 for the WBA, so why not target Fortuna or Corrales?
If Walters beats one of those guys then he'll be champion and probably get into the top 10 p4p, so that would raise the Loma fight.
I don't even know why they're giving Sosa a chance against Fortuna, over the guy that clearly beat him in Walters.
If Sosa can beat Fortuna then Walters should get the rematch. If Fortuna wins then he could face Fortuna. Unfortunately for you two of your favorites may have to fight, but that's boxing.
Despite what you think, I'm rooting for Walters. Skillwise I think Walters can already be a top 10 p4p. However, just like Loma he has to prove it.Last edited by HI-TECH Boxing; 06-19-2016, 07:35 PM.Comment

I don't get this statement. What was wrong with his "style" in the Martinez fight? Show me one thing. You are trying to find weakness where there isn't one.
This kid can literally do whatever he wants in the ring, and will bring whatever "style" is needed to beat an opponent.
He has actually showed very different styles in his last two fights. He fought Martinez nothing like the Koasicha fight.
Why are people still on this whole pros vs. ams with Loma? That chapter is closed. The man is a pro.
As for Crawford...its way too early to go to 140, Lomachenko said that he will finish his career at welter but that is still some years away. He should stick around 130-135 for a few years and just wipe it clean.
P.S. Saw your other posts in the thread, looks like you got a bad hardon for Loma and there is zero objectivity in your posts...get off that racial **** and talk some boxing.Last edited by Banderivets; 06-19-2016, 04:28 PM.Comment
