good luck with the fights, man.

      What happened?
He had bad luck in the fight against Garcia. His eye closed, he won most of the rounds before that.
He still lost the fight, it's ok, but it wasn't a schooling.
Postol clinched him A LOT. Took all the energy from him. You can see that unless you're a biased ****** hater.

We don't know if he could KO Mayweather. Could Maidana KO Mayweather? we don't know since Mayweather forced him to use pillow gloves.

I picked Garcia to win. They both suck.

Clearly he didn't get exposed against good competition every time.

You're talking like he was hyped up going into the Judah fight and no one would admit he was worse than they thought. He earned his following. There is a reason Garcia beating him matters. The way most haters talk about Matthysse, Garcia should get no credit at all.

Nsb is full of bandwagon fans. I bet theres a lot of fake ass dudes on here right now acting like the never believed the hype, trying to act knowledgible by saying they knew it all along. I will admit, i fell into his hype. It was hard not to. His biggest problem to me and still is his mental weakness and how could anyone have foreseen that? Guys that convincingly beat Mattysse are guys that stand their ground with him and until Garcia we never got that. I know Judah & Alexander beat him but it was controversial.

Danny Garcia is like Klay and Steph to me in the sense that their looks create this perception as if they aren't as thorough as people think they are. Lucas was looking like the typical cult following fighter, a guy who faces who you want him to face and does it out of the love of boxing but after a while you found out that he was really skilled, but not quite that guy. People for some reason just don't respect DG. Lucas was heavily favored, i thought he'd win but he has a horrible horrible corner because on the fly they don't tell him to watch out for certain things like the low blows by Danny or the hits to the back of the head from Postol. Its as if they leave him dead in the water and refuse to help him out.

between Judah and garcia, the only world class fighters JUNIOR WELTERWEIGHT he fought was lamont peterson, who was a perennial contender. Humberto soto was world class @ 126-135...he was undersized at 140 and never beat anyone of note

                  get your facts str8
No one was high on Judah? Are you kidding? Matthysse was just some foreign puncher brought in to make a "rejuvenated" Judah look good. And instead most thought Matthysse won. Holding that fight against him, especially as his first 12 round fight, is ridiculous and no one at the time did so. It was only later when the Matthysse hype train took off that anyone looked back and held it against him.

Um, Devon Alexander? Ajose Olusegun (Garcia's mandatory at the time)? And Soto was a world class fighter, whether he want to pretend otherwise or not. He beat John Molina years later at the weight, when he was far worse. Then he fought Peterson. Matthysse fought a pretty solid string of world class fights between Judah and Garcia. Mike Dallas was the only fight looked at as a soft touch.

If you want the real truth, bump the "Do you consider Matthysee an undefeated fighter?" thread.
Guys here were falling all over themselves, saying he'll never be beaten, his losses were robberies that shouldn't count, etc.

And it's really annoying how people act like Garcia schooled Matthysse. That was a close, but clear Garcia win. Not some 9-3 outclassing.
