To answer OP, Matthysse was never nothing other than power. Never really liked his style. Still an exciting fighter to watch but skill wise hes not that good.

when a fighter they like loses they move on to the next exciting puncher....Pac man is an ATG for sure but Manny was beloved and people overrated his level of greatness and overlooked who he fought at 147...trashing who floyd fought every change they got but big upping manny...when both campaigned at 147...Mayweather clearly was fighting the higher ranked opposition and after big wins....manny was fighting them after losses and bad showings....im just saying

fighter of the decade? how was he fighter of the decade, lost in the decade, drew with marquez who he never beat clearly once

he was "the best of this generation" how? he lost to the best and fighters he beat

while mayweather went undefeated and was more dominant in the decade, was a champion since 1998

He was the second best of this generation, it aint so bad Im with u on this, I hate groupies who cant see straight. I like Manny style better than Floyds but I know my boxing and I knew Floyd would beat him. It wasnt a boxing lesson like some try to say but Manny clearly lost that fight and I knew thats what would happen.

But anyways going back on Matthysse, most people fall in love with the puncher. I woudnt compare him to GGG, cause GGG seems to have way better skills.

Yes he was. Nothing to argue there. Alot of people hyped him up, including Schaeffer. The next Manny? Hell no!

He was throughly overhyped at the point of his Pederson win, I was one of the poster who thought Garcia looked 'shooked' when the camera panned to him and Quillin and the face pulling, but then after that it was back to business where I said this fight was 50-50... Cue the abuse, Garcia and his dad gifs of them running, them never going to sign the contract etc

After the contract was signed then cue the obituary gifs, how Angel Garcia was crying etc, a lot of poster then embarrass themselves even further months after the fight with the "eyegate" doe excuses.

Didn't see anything particularly abnormal. Broner was tagged as the next Mayweather by the whole floydhype community.

For Matthysse it's only twelve fans. His fight with Garcia was close, made Danny urinate with blood. It's not like businessman Garcia dominated the fight or something. He was in full survival mode. A few would have complained had the judges awarded the win to Matthysse.
