Mainly b/c he's not trying going straight to GGG.

Usually the challenger is reaching out to fight the champion, talking about wanting that fight, making offers to get the fight. He's been pretty quiet the 2 years he's held that interim title under GGG.

I could care less about this fight anyway. But what is up with all these inactive Haymon fighters? Jacobs last fought the first week of Dec 2015. In a fight that didn't go past the first round, suffered no injuries. Yet he hasn't fought once in 2016? And this fight that was supposed to be in July 30 just got postponed. So basically chalk it up to him fighting just once in 2016 if the fight get's pushed to Sept. And he's not the only one Porter and Thurman, Danny fought in Jan and we about to be in July and he still don't have a fight lined up. Khan fought ONCE since May 2015. stevenson last fought on 9/11/2015 and his first fight since will be 07/29/2016. Assuming that fight don't get "postponed" as well.

Money must be getting tight for PBC because you got all these show dates but all his top fighters have basically turned to once a year fighters.

DiBella & Haymon wanted Danny back in the ring in April, they had Andy Lee lined up but Jacobs wanted the time off instead. I don't think he cares if he fights much longer, he might be losing that drive.

He's had a hard time making 160lbs, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he can't anymore. He'll be another year older and coming off a long layoff.

Just makes no sense guy had the biggest win of his career and now is on ice almost a year losing whatever momentum he had. And it's not just Jacobs go up and down and see so many of Haymon top guys basically now just once a year fighters. I can understand the layoff if you coming off a loss or an injury from the fight. But guys are coming off wins and most of them easy wins. No need for the long layoff.

I don't know what is happening with these Haymon fighters. Their wins don't lead to anything big. Takes years to make them fight each other. They're also becoming one-fight-a-year fighters, Thurman, Porter, Garcia, Jacobs, who else? And they're wondering why PBC investors are losing money.

They make enough money that they're sitting fine. Danny Garcia is still living off that Rod Salka money. Thurman was talking about how Haymon paid him on the side. Chavez Jr won't make weight, but he'll post his $5mill checks on twitter. Quillin got paid to drop his belt. Who needs to fight?

Correction, W&R investors already lost their money.

Waddell & Reed Financial Inc., one of the biggest beneficiaries of the recent boom in mutual funds, has hit a rough patch. Nervous investors pulled $12.5 billion out of the investment company’s two largest mutual funds over the past 12 months.

I don't think it has anything to do with the fighters. Fighters want to fight and no matter what you make you will always make more if you fight more times a year. And the purses have been dropping for PBC and even what Showtime is paying. I think Haymon doesn't want to risk anymore PBC money on his top fighters which is why you see those PBC cards being filled with cheap C and D class Haymon fighters no longer the A class ones to finish out his time buys. And Showtime has scaled back what they paying look at the purses for the Lara, Charlos, Trout card. big drop off from what these guys were making just last year. Either way it's not good for fighters to be sitting on the shelf this long.

I don't even think Haymon would want these clowns to fight rarely. Garcia, for example, wants his next fight to be on PPV. Which contradicts what Haymon is trying to do with the PBC model. Most likely, Haymon asked him to fight Collazo for $700K just to keep busy. If Haymon can talk to the media, he'll probably be blasting these divas.
