130 floyd was a beast and their is nothing Loma could hope to do but be competitive and see the finall bell
everything Loma does, Floyd does it better..loma would have to ko him to win and floyd was sturdy with great defense....
I like Loma but he doesnt belong in the same sentence as Mayweather at 130

Problem is you're not taking in count his amateur career wich is either igorance or being dishonnest.
BIG MISTAKE since Loma is ranked as one of the greatest olympic/ams fighter.
The greatest according to many observers.
Was Floyd a 2 times olympic/3 times world gold medalist in 2 different weight classes at 28? NO...
As I already said, just IMHO, it's harder to get olympic gold than being a belt holder in the pros altough we're talking about 2 different approaches of the sport of boxing.
Again, did Floyd would have "body bagged" Salido in his second pro fight? This is just disrespectful to boxing. Beating Martinez means absolutely ****ing nothing. Floyd would have body bagged both Salido and Martinez on the same fu(king night. As would have Castillo, another man I think would beat Loma. Hype....The fu(king downfall of boxing logic. .
Def not IMO.
If you think Loma is all hype, you're DAMN WRONG, he earned that hype with his amateur pedigree and taking world class fighters in his first pro fights.
******ed? Be polit you internet bully.
I'm actually schooling you with straight facts in your own language (English is my 3rd language).
If you can read properly in your own language you'll find out what I asked.
I asked if they were the best technicians Floyd fought (I think so), OBVIOUSLY they are technicians.
I never said Loma beat Oscar.
I think he's a better technician and a slicker fighter.
Doesn't mean he'll have a better pro career or would have beat Oscar in a fight at 135 where prime Oscar was a beast.
Cotto failed in the ams at the world championship and olympic level.
Amateur boxing is about technics.
IMO Floyd never fought a fighter technically deep as Loma.
He fought better fighters tough, beginning by another southpaw, the Pac man.
The thing is Loma is still getting better.
[QUOTE=PivotandRoll;16788565]
Probably PRIME Marquez would beat Loma right now, as I said, Loma has only few fights above 4 rounds.
The thing is Loma is still getting better.
As a poster said, it's ****** to compare a prospect (a big one tough) to a veteran.Comment

Loma could outbox corrales but he could also get sparked out. Genaro Hernandez was no pushover and Jesus Chavez was in the upper echelon of 130-135 for a long time. if he thought salido had a motor, add more strength and power then you have chavez.
Loma is a potential ATG imoComment

Too be fair, he arguably beat Salido in his 2nd Pro fight and Salido is preferably A future Hall of Famer. The only HOF fighter Floyd fight near or at the weight is Castillio and we all know what happened there.
And we'll Martinez isn't the best fighter in the world I feel he's just as good as Angel Manfredy, a guy constantly brought up when talking about Floyd's 130 resume.
Floyd vs Loma at 130 is a 50/50 fight.Comment

But he isn't as good or anywhere near as good as Manfredy, it's best you follow Manfredy's career because that's an ignorant thing to say.Too be fair, he arguably beat Salido in his 2nd Pro fight and Salido is preferably A future Hall of Famer. The only HOF fighter Floyd fight near or at the weight is Castillio and we all know what happened there.
