Loma would refuse to fight because of a drug test ( maybe he is likely on melodium like Sharapovetkin). Then he'd get KTFO by Valdez in their 4th fight after Loma refused his biggest payday ever to fight Floyd.

Then Floyd would look bad beating Salido, dominate him in the rematch, then Bob/Loma would step up to fight Floyd and then get dominated.

Someone check Loma's shoulders out please. Also, how who are the Russina equivalent of SPoon23 and Rath?
just like it was arum who was stalling floyd's career right? floyd wanted to take on all challengers but it was arum holding him back right?

HBO and Mayweather promoter Bob Arum prefer that he take a higher-profile, more competitive fight, ideally vs. former two-time champ Stevie Johnston. But Mayweather and his manager, James Prince, have balked.

"No one can communicate with Floyd," Arum said. "It's like talking to the wall. I said 'Fight Stevie Johnston.' Floyd said, 'I don't want to fight him

"Arum and Diaz say that the 'Pretty Boy' was offered in the neighborhood of $7 million to face Margarito. In what could best be described as a 'business move', the same guy who brazenly challenged the bigger Winky Wright decided to bypass Margarito, to collect nearly $4 million to spar with Sharmba Mitchell.

"Flat turned him down like you can not believe," Arum said of Mayweather when he was offered a chance at the WBO title. "Any time we raised his name, Mayweather went crazy."

remember these quotes are from arum while arum was still promoting him not after. have you ever seen a fighters own promoter bash their fighter for ducking? lmao! so if your argument is that arum matches his fighters soft just to make money....floyd wasn't even willing to fight the soft guys arum wanted! you fail! how soft does that make floyd if he couldn't live up to arum's standards the same guy you are bashing for protecting fighters.

sorry i was focusing on what actually happened. i always forget about fantasy sports. omg his skills are amazing! just think how amazing they would be if he was still conscious? he would wreck the guy who just ko'd him!

      • Loma is an elite fighter but he it would have been a big deal if he was unified or lineal champion at 126 and 130..the amount of fights it took was impressive to get the alphabet titles but other than that cool stat loma.

arum prevented fights with Cotto and DLH happening sooner...when the fighters were free agents, they fought each other immediately

why would he fight stevie johnston when when he was chasing Tyszu and beat Johnston's conquerer. there was nothing to gain. Johnston went on a slide soon after.

arum is known for that type stuff

fight margarito...who holds the WBOgus belt or fight Baldomir for the true title? its not rocket science

then Margarito loses to a prospect in paul williams in 07..at that point williams had no wins over top ten welters...mayweather beat 2 hall of famers in bloxkbusters...hatton and DLH

you cant rewrite history...sorry buddy....your opinion isnt that powerful

          • [QUOTE=BillyBoxing;16788676]Problem is you're not taking in count his amateur career wich is either igorance or being dishonnest.

BIG MISTAKE since Loma is ranked as one of the greatest olympic/ams fighter.
The greatest according to many observers.

Was Floyd a 2 times olympic/3 times world gold medalist in 2 different weight classes at 28? NO...

As I already said, just IMHO, it's harder to get olympic gold than being a belt holder in the pros altough we're talking about 2 different approaches of the sport of boxing.

Floyd was robbed of his chance to win gold in a blatant robbery, where would Loma be now if he had been robbed both times and got bronze both times??? Exactly.

Again, did Floyd would have "body bagged" Salido in his second pro fight?

            Def not IMO.

If you think Loma is all hype, you're DAMN WRONG, he earned that hype with his amateur pedigree and taking world class fighters in his first pro fights.

******ed? Be polit you internet bully.
I'm actually schooling you with straight facts in your own language (English is my 3rd language).

If you can read properly in your own language you'll find out what I asked.

I asked if they were the best technicians Floyd fought (I think so), OBVIOUSLY they are technicians.

I never said Loma beat Oscar.

I think he's a better technician and a slicker fighter.

Doesn't mean he'll have a better pro career or would have beat Oscar in a fight at 135 where prime Oscar was a beast.

Cotto failed in the ams at the world championship and olympic level.
            Amateur boxing is about technics.

IMO Floyd never fought a fighter technically deep as Loma.
He fought better fighters tough, beginning by another southpaw, the Pac man.

The thing is Loma is still getting better.

As a poster said, it's ****** to compare a prospect (a big one tough) to a veteran.
Yeah considered one of the greatest amateurs because of the other great fighters who win gold actually go pro afterwards....He waited quite a while.

I think Floyd from his first fight would find a way to beat Salido.....and that's just being honest.

            And he's not a Prospect. He's a champion.

            • The new standard is cutting in line because promoters and networks think real boxing fans wouldn't notice.

              • Floyd is retired and if he comes back it will be at 147. ****** thread.

You would think the "skills pay the bills" guys would like Lomachenko....but he will end up just being another fighter they are jealous of.

                • How about Hector Camacho vs either them????? At 130 or 135lbs.

It's not the "skills pay the bills" guys who are claiming Loma would beat one of the greatest just because he knocked out Roman Martinez. Nice try though.

Yes I remember those quotes. You conveniently leave out that he was challenging bigger and better fighters at the time and they were refusing to fight him.

I also remember Arum/Manny turning down the fight 3 times, just like I would think Arum would do with Loma relative to Floyd.

SO you are criticizing Floyd for refusing soft fights because he wanted to fight bigger and better men like ODH and Mosley? I am not surprised as you blame Floyd when Manny turns down the fight yet blame BJS when he tunrs down a fight with GGG, a fighter you like.

I bet if GGG was calling out Ward, you wouldn't criticize him for bypassing Eubank or Lara.
