postol is / should be a slight favorite. if they fight 12 times postol might win 7. i expect the odds to be close to even, maybe with crawford's HBO push he might get a slight favorite rating, but the fight shoudl be basically even.
I think their comp level is similar.....Matthyssee is the bigger name but out of who who they both fought, Gamboa may be the most accomplished

anyway as far as skills I think postol is a nice fighter. He is a little square and clinches a bit...I think Bud will work out of the clinch and mug him while switch hitting

He does have a good jab but Bud is very good at fighting off the pivot and countering a jab

its going to be competitive but I think Bud will stop him late...he is a mean MFer.

Postol has the edge in height but that also makes a bigger tarhget and easier to land body shots

His lack of headmovement will prove detrimental vs a sharp shotter like Bud who has every punch in the book from an orthodox and southpaw position

I think Postol will try to keep him at the end of his jab and disrupt his rhythm upclose with a clinch

I just dont see Postol outboxing him from ring center...Crawford has the edge in hand and foot speed. also he fights on the pivot better than Postol

we shall see...great match up, cant wait

Should be an interesting fight. Everyone & their pet lizard is hyping Crawford as the next (fill in the blank), but I'm just not seeing it. He doesn't suck mind you by any means, but I don't see him as being as good as many are projecting him to be. This fight, I feel, will go a long way in me being more impressed with Crawford or the people that have been hyping him as the next (fill in the blank) to be proven wrong.

All that said I think this is a 50/50ish fight, with my official pick being Postol. And randomly the odds for this fight are nuts imo. Think last I saw Crawford was a 6-1 or 7-1 favorite, which is WAYYYYY off I feel & makes it a no brainer to be throwing money on Postol cuz I suspect even most of the people liking Crawford here don't like him 6-1, 7-1 good or at least I wouldn't think they would.

Too early to say that, considering Postol is the first challenge he takes

Well I don't know about that....gamboa was no slouch and if we're gonna be like that then we can say the same about postol....because mattysse showed he had very limited boxing ability and after the Garcia fight failed to really do anything.....I will lay odds with you that Crawford has to many tools for postol....no doubt in my mind that Crawford beats postol...not an easy fight but he beats him ...to much variety for postol

If Bud is going to win he will need a knockout but i think he can do it.

Your right with your assessment .....Crawford has good speed and quick feet and I think postol is little too one dimensional for dealing with Crawford .....I do think postols victory over mattysse is a little over exaggerated as I really think the Argentinians boxing ability is very basic...Crawford is highly skilled and can vary his attack....I'm picking Crawford to beat postol by late stoppage
