Personally I think Groves was just never that good in the first place. His biggest victory was hurting an aged Carl Froch than ultimately losing...

The problem with Groves is his game is so dependent on movement. Late in fights that movement disappears and he looks horrible. Not only are his reflexes diminishing, but it appears that his athleticism is as well. His pace was certainly a lot higher in his earlier fights. Either way, this is do or die for him.

And a 50 year old Glen Johnson. His career has been inflated to make Froch look better.

News flash: I give him credit all the time, he is a good fighter. He just isnt a monster, or a beast that everyone is ducking like idiots like you claim. he is not top 3 p4p, look at the man's resume....amir khan and danny garcia makes his resume look like a prospect, not a unified champion.....well he actually had 2/3 of his belts handed to him....yea thats groundbreaking....face reality that this guy has work to do before he becomes a star, a hall of famer and an all time great.

Time is not on his side, he is talented but his resume is azz in comparison to the other top boxers in the game. DEAL WITH IT
Nice try buy I'm not even a Golovkin fan, i rarely post on the man.

You ranting on about GGG just proved my point. What a bellend

He did beat DeGale too, but yeah, his stock has been a bit over hyped since he got Cobra'd

It really is a cross-roads fight. You wonder what the loser will go on to do.

Both guys are probably past their best. Murray has been competitive (and hard done by) in his big fights, bar the Golovkin fight.
Groves seems to have had the sting taken out of him by Froch. But the Jack fight was a close one.

It has the making of a good fight. I'm rooting for Murray but give the slight edge to Groves. Murray's lack of power may work against him in this one.

It's a 50/50 though IMO, i'm looking forward to it.

no you proved my point...you are damage control

we were not even discussing GGG at all, me and the other poster.

IT WAS OBVIOUS HE GOT UPSET BECAUSE MURRAY IS ONE OF GGG BEST WINS.....FOR WHAT....TO PLAY DAMAGE CONTROL

your homie mustve got upset because I put a stop to him pumping up Murray, who never beat a top ten contender I may add...never...Groves should beat him like everyone else not on the euro level

why bring up giving GGG credit?

We were discussing murray vs abraham, Martinez, and Sturm, he claimed he won....when in reality he lost.

deal with the facts....Murray isnt a world class fighter, he is euro level, a steppingstone. A fringe contender

Looking forward to this fight, have a lot of respect for both guys. I also feel that you guys are underestimating Groves a bit. He did lose to Froch spectacularly both times, but he was ahead on the cards at the time.

I would not be surprised if he outboxes Murray to a decision win.

george was over confident going into to the second froch fight with his success from the first fight. he did say before that fight exactly what he was going to do and we pretty much dismissed it but, he did what he said until a premature stoppage.
this inevitably elevated his popularity and built his confidence pretty quickly for the return where he was a little tight to start then opened up against a known puncher...game over.
moving on, the saint has come back under mcguigan jnr and HAS improved, I expect a knockout win for the saint to put him a little way up the ladder again and get a return against the mouthy **** he beat twice before and beat him again.
