It really comes down to the fact that Vladimir did lose a step and Fury caught him at the right time, under the right circumstances, and that he executed a game plan. Above all, we need to let the replay happen before making final judgments with Vlad-Fury. When all is said and done, Vlad could in fact just have had a night off too and may rebound terrifically after making the correct adjustments. Fact of the matter is he did throw uncharacteristically few punches and more importantly, he didn't make the punches he threw matter. He says he will correct these mistakes, that he will indeed avenge the defeat. Only time will tell and the fight is close now.

Cheers lacedup.. Your stats actually combined with the other issues I set out actually DID prove he got old overnight after all! HAHAHAHA Fury's elusiveness.. LOL Ya Sweet pea Fury! Or maybe Wladimir DR Zimmerframe KLITSCHKO..
Thanks for informing me. Didn't put much stock in stats but taking everything into account, the lack of pop & flat footed ness, his age & the stats too. Cheers laced up. Man 51 punches HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

He threw slightly more against Ibragimov..
So he has clearly shown a tendency to throw less punches and go into his shell when faced with someone a bit awkward and who isn't using his face for defense.

Ok.
Wlad is not shot at all, he is over the hill but not shot, he can't fight a good fight against certain styles, and he would have always struggled against good fighters his own size.

Of course we all know that he later debunked his own thread by saying that age was a factor as well.
In fact the statistic I provided, gives support to those (who?) who claimed that Wlad got old over night.

hes in great physical shape, obviously. not so much fighting shape. not at a high level that is. sure, he can dig up some bum and beat them to death. but his days of being a hw threat are over.
