I could always see Loma's talent and knew he would go far with it. I was somewhat hesitant on him though because I did not see any punching power from him. Fighters with his style will need to be able to at least throw some shots that will make an opponent think twice about coming in.

It has changed. He now fights off the back foot less and sits down on his punches while moving laterally in the pocket. It is very impressive stuff. Whoever he fights at 130, I now believe they are going to have a rough night. He is turning into a real Pro and the guy has the goods.

Walters went from a title unification at 126 to contender at 130 while Lomachenko has become a two-division champion.

Lomachenko will probably get more of a purse split against Walters now than he would've gotten a year ago.

he made 600k for russle but it was on a haymon card/purse bid...he made about 200k for salido...when walters won his 126 titl why didnt his minimum go to 750k?

Neither does Walter's so he's in the same position as Loma except that Bob is paying Loma more because he chooses. Walter's hasn't been dealt the best hand but the offer that is in front of him is not unreasonable. If Walters's were being offered that amount to fight a bum he would more than jump at the opportunity. If I were in his position and was confident that i could win I would take the offer beat Loma and prove Arum wrong. My stock goes up, my p4p ranking goes up and it opens more opportunities to big money fights. Instead Walters is content not fighting, instead of fighting a challenge, getting money,and improving his stock. It's because his not 100% sure he will win, and that's were it becomes a duck.

Because nobody is making that at FW dude, except Santa Cruz and Loma. You don't win a FW title and get a 750k min, jeeze. Loma gets a fat deal cause he's making history and he's a next level talent. If you're a promoter and believe you got the best talent In Boxing, wouldn't you give him a fat deal?

The only thing you're exposing is how you casually miss the point that Walters was getting less money than Loma while he laughed about and HBO didn't care about the situation which Walters said "fug dat shhh" and Arum saying as usual, not enough money for the fight while casually not getting involved with public opinion about the splits.

Lomachenko deserved more money. He was sacrificing more in order to make the fight. He also has a better contract with Top Rank. And now I think we know who is slightly the better draw.

Aw you had a friend that attended the card? Well, I know several people that attended and they tell me there was a lot of support for Loma. Even some of the media were reporting how many people went to support Loma.
They were going crazy for Usyk as well.
I think Loma found a nice home in NY. And I suspect he will find more homes soon.
I would say Loma didn't do too bad for his first Main Event and you have to remember that he isn't American.
