I agree it was bad, but you have to factor in that Wlad is speaking in his second or third language. It is not always easy to be quick and witty, especially against a guy like Fury.

Bottom line is, Wlad essentially admitted throwing the fight because he couldn't handle Fury's unpredictability.

It's Leonard Duran 2 without throwing hands up.

I don't see how he was embarrassed. He is right. Win lose or draw he gets a nice fat pay check. All this stuff about the face off is totally meaningless. This is a boxing match. It isn't a chop fight. It doesn't mean a damn thing who got in the best insults in the face off. What does matter is what happens in the ring during the fight. Fury did embarrass Wlad in the ring last fight. Wlad needs to fight better, try harder, throw a lot more punches and win the fight. If he does that nobody is going to remember or give a damn about what happened in the face off.

You're really downplaying there mental aspect of fighting. If a guy can get in your head before the fight, he can alter the way you fight.

And this is the same guy that just best him.

This time, people will see Wlad completely pick Fury apart, pizza face stoppage in 5 rounds or less.
              That doesn't make sense.

How is fighting Fury as challenger going to make Wlad more money than he would earned by beating him then defending his titles against someone else?

We know how much Wlad would have loved to unify the HW division, and he needed just one more fight after Fury, against the winner of Wilder/Povetkin, to achieve that.

Losing to Fury was a disaster for Wlad in every way, including financial.

Exactly, some people are talking nonsense because they can't handle reality. Wladimir lost. He tried to win, but he couldn't. It's as simple as that.

                  This is heavyweight right now:

1: Anthony Joshua (this guy is unstopable)
2: Tyson Fury (too big, fast and smart for anyone except Joshua)
3: Luis Ortiz (not good enough for Fury, but too good for Wilder)
4: Wilder (too fast and brutal for a gunshy past it Wladimir to handle)
                  5: Wladimir (still above Povetkin)
6: Povetkin (doesn't beat the Big 5, but beats everyone else)

                  Trust me, that's the truth.
I like AJ, from what I've seen of him up to now. Who wouldn't?

But honestly mate, he's too green and inexperienced to justify being at the top of a list like that!

Well, it's true, if we were going by deserved rankings, but I'm going by who I think is most effective in the ring. Joshua is green, yes, but his combination of size, speed, power, skills and youth makes me believe that he will take over the division soon. If his chin and stamina are good, then I see nothing as being able to stop him. Soon, he has knocked out 4 undefeated fighters in a row.

David Haye beats all on that list. including a rematch with Wlad. Next year is going to be amusing when I bump every single thread hating on Haye, when he becomes HW champion.
Haye's latest come-back is a money grab, and nothing else. He made a £1million each from his last 2 fights, against embarrassingly bad opponents, and he'll probably double that for his next bum-fight against Briggs.

He's already been humiliated once by Wlad, and a 10 man tug-of-war team couldn't drag him into the ring with Fury!

The only man on that list who Haye would fight if he got the chance is AJ, because it would be a big pay day against an inexperienced opponent. Apart from that forget it. Haye isn't going anywhere near any of the others.
