  • If the MW division is not competitive...

then why isn't Canelo fighting MWs at 160? if the MW's are so easy what's the deal?

could it be that they are tough but there's one MW that is making them look weak? perhaps?

Willie Monroe Jr, a guy that GGG seemingly dismantled with ease, would give Candelita all that she could handle. Personally wouldn't be surprised to see Monroe make her look downright pathetic in there. Murray would push her around and take her into the deep waters no doubt.

The diva knows her limits. Without bullying smaller foes, she is just ordinary.

Very simple: Canelo likes fighting guys who are smaller than him, to insure that he has the weight/strength advantage. As he ages though, it will be harder for him to make even 155 & he will have to move up. That is when we will see what he is truly made of. He's praying that by then, GGG will either be shot or retired.

Cotto's value supersedes Golovkin, and Alvarez was the challenger for that Lineal and WBC. To assume Alvarez would have interest at 160 and its protocols are a stretch, and as I told everyone months before the Khan bout was even in circulation, All Star Boxing and Golden Boy were having their court case. Therefore, the profits from the Khan bout provided some income security for at least continuing settlements or still play out the dispute in court regardless. None of that has to do with Gennady Golovkin other than industry and mando from the WBC providing more pressure for GBP agenda. Also, considering its K2 and Loeffler, it's easily assumed he wasn't going to be bullied as a B side, therefore, the bout didn't happen.

Can it still happen? Yes. Given all the circumstances, and perhaps the reason why Abel and Loeffler have stated on RECORD 2017 or 2018 shows the fiasco that GBP and Canelo are having with All Star.

It's unfortunate, but it is what it is, and it has nothing to do with Alvarez' opinion at 160. What statements can anybody find of Alvarez regarding 160? Or is it just about Golovkin? What about the WBO? What about Jacobs?

160 is a mess. Lil'G roiding behind doors and enjoying this funny limelight promoted by HBO is all good.. Alvarez will be around for a while!

Anyone who's says 154 is better than 160 is either a Canelo fanboy or an American too prideful to admit the mostly American division is inferior to division ran by GGG.

I'm American myself but it's clear as day if GGG was at 154, he would rule the division. Some idiot just tried to convince me Vanes was better than both Lemule and Murray.

In my opinion Lara is #1 at 154 and would lose to GGG quite handily if they fought.

Based on what? Monroe is no Lara. Has Monroe fought anyone? He's fighting on Showtime Extreme tomorrow because that's what his level is.

Lemiuex is a bum who lost to Rubio and Alcine. You don't want your coward to ever fight Lara.

                "154-168 easy doe.." Abel & Lil'G

                "155 is disrespect to Middleweight.." - Lil'G

                "...GGG...at 154..." - SilverMiles

vs Alvarez how much would have been guaranteed to Golovkin at 155?

                "easy doe.."

Umm I'm American and far from a Canelo fan boy and 154 is better than 160. 160 has the best fighter but not the better overall top ten. I think J-Rock, Andrade, Jermall Charlo, and Lara could be big players at 160, and would favor them over a lot of guys at 160. Andrade beats anyone not named GGG, and the others would at worst be 50/50 fights with the likes of Saunders and Jacobs. They all beat the wheels off Quillen or Lee(barring his siganture game changer).

The division is'nt as bad as some make it out to be, but it is'nt stacked either. Remove GGG, and yes the division is highly competitive, but competitive does'nt make it good.
