I think FMJ fans tend to overplay some of his performances & opponents.

Take Diego.. Quality operator & a top LW of his time but not an ATG. They will try & tell you he was a p4p monster yet what they don't say is these p4p rankings had him ahead of the likes of Bhop & Lennox Lewis at the time which in retrospect looks ridiculous! Secondly look at who he had he had beaten? Angel ManLady & Derrick McGainer! Exactly! Who?! Yet this is a p4p monster?! Let's also not forget that he probably lost all 3 fights Jolene Casamayor (getting dropped 3 times & even having a significant weight advantage in one) He also lost to borderline journeyman Joshua Clotted cream (Dropped twice losing nearly every round!) Schooled by Floyd & knocked out in 4 by Castillo! Don't get me wrong he was warrior & gave us a great fight but lets not turn it into something it isn't! I think the tendency to over play these type of fighters is because they know deep down he lacks any prime ATG's. Corrales never beat an elite fighter in his career. No disrespect to him (RIP) but he didn't.

Gatti is another one.. I mean if I were a Floyd fan I would be ashamed of constantly citing this fight & performance! He does have some genuinely good wins & performances like Canelo & Genaro Hernández yet I have seen this one cited on many occasion! Gatti by this point had those two wars (1998 Fight of the Year) with Ivan Robinson. His 3 (2 of which were Ring FOTY) wars with Ward. Dissected in 5 by Oscar & even managed to get stopped by Angel ManLady.. Do people cite Gatti in reference to say.. Oscars career all the time? No. Why give Floyd over the top plaudits for this? Because it was a dissection? Well why not dig up the bones of Alexis Argüello & punch them around a bit too?!

Come on be real.. Floyd has some top wins no need to overplay these two which I keep seeing being done on forums.

well, i think Maidana did better than expected even with pillows as gloves.

The best Gayweather win was against a woman, or so it seems.

Yeah mate, Floyd Mayweather's career is comparable to Sven Ottke's. In your warped brain only.

Mayweather will be remembered as one of the all time greats. Sooner you come to terms with that the better, for you.
