Next to no one thought that Wade, Monroe, Stevens, Murray or Lemieux had any chance either but the fights went ahead anyway. If we are going by who we think would win against GGG then he might aswell jump to 175 immediately.

He is going to be the favourite against anyone currently from 154 to 168 but you still have to fight the fights. I think GGG would win but I see Lara giving him some trouble at least for a little while before getting stopped mid to late rounds.

To the people saying Lara will get discredited as a worthy opponent after the fight, You know what??? ....... DEAL WITH IT. It happens to every good fighter:

Pre fight: Hopkins was going to school Kovalev
Post fight: He was 50, an old man

Pre fight: Floyd got forced to fight Mosley, he didn't want it and will get knocked out
Post fight: Mosley was old, Floyd waited for him to get old

Pre fight: Fury is a bum, british glass chin.... Wlad will knock him out
Post fight: Wlad was 40, only good against shorter guys.... Fury is still a bum

...... There are infinite examples, not everyone will give GGG credit for steam rolling Lara. You will get some posters who hyped up Lara suddenly backtracking saying he's not a middleweight anyway and wasn't that good etc etc.... At the same time it is worth noting that most people (even famed GGG haters) think GGG will win but just want to see him with someone of a considerably higher level than Monroe and Wade.
