I just made this post in the other Lara thread, didn't see this thread:
Lara is so overrated on here, it's not even funny. Lara is a GOOD boxer, he is certainly not elite.
An elite boxer would outbox Canelo, and an elite boxer would certainly have the skills to avoid the slow, looping, plodding, wild, savage punches of Alfredo Angulo. An elite boxer would also certainly dispatch Vanes Martirosyan with ease, twice.
Anybody thinking Lara would even CHALLENGE Golovkin is delusional. Dude would have absolutely no breathing room, and his feather fists would not keep Golovkin humble. Golovkin would literally break him down and if he doesn't brutally knock Lara out, Lara's corner would stop the fight from the sustained punishment.
Lara hardly has the skill to evade Canelo, Angulo, and ****in Vanes..... What the **** is he going to do against one of the best pressure fighters of all time? (inb4 who has he fought. look, you're delusional if you can't see the complete and destructive package Gennady possesses)
EASY, and I mean EASY work Golovkin. IF no Canelo, or Jacobs and Saunders (who would be absolutely easy work and they would only be OK for GGG because of the belts...) Then a move to 168 would be far better for Golovkin, career wise, and challenge wise. Ramirez would actually present a challenge for Golovkin, not Lara.
Would Lara even beat Jacobs, Quillin or Lemiuex? Those are all 50/50 fights, and they are all levels below Golovkin.

) but because that is literally one of the easiest fights possible that he could take and we know he'd get absolutely zero credit for beating him. I can see it now, a person who has been begging for GGG to fight Lara for years, and once GGG finally KO's him:
