Even though his performance was really bad. I still believe he is a good boxer. Gave Freitas too much respect, rightfully so because if it hadn't been for all the hugging and grabbing he'd been knocked out.

that was a sloppy fight, towards the end i knew they were gonna give it to freitas because of all the holding raheem was doing when he got hit and the wrestling that ensued. anyone catch max mocking harold lettermans voice? haha

It was as much Freitas' fault as it was Raheems'. Raheem lunges, freitas does nothing on the inside, so one of them holds until breaks, usually with some hitting on both sides. It was too much holding, but it was simply both of their styles and neither fighter really was holding much more... until the final round that is.

Raheem held against Rocky and couldn't stop in spite of warnings and point deductions. It looks like he has bad balance and is afraid of being KOed. Something is wrong with him. At any rate, a close, ugly fight is not a robbery. Maybe he should review the Morales tape and see what got him this title fight.

Now, we know why Morales nor Barrera never fought Popo, Corrales, Seda, Casamayor, Mayweather, or Castillo.

Raheem should have been penalized at least 1 point for the intentional push to the ground, and could have been deducted more for holding and leading with his head. he landed the cleaner punches, but he kept ducking and tackling freitas into the ropes, which looked amateurish. Freitas had the aggression, and i really believe his fans lifted him the final 2 rounds. 116-112 was off though, it was 115-113 or 114-114 either way. nobody won 8 rounds to 4
